Valentines Dance Party at Point Point This Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015

Hello Dancers,  

  It's the Valentines Dance Party and all ladies get a rose at Point Point Joint this Thursday night Feb. 12, 2015.  This is YOUR INVITATION to join the party.  There will be prizes for Best Dressed and for Most Romantic (Can I be the judge?).  DJ Bing will play swing, cha cha, cumbia, tango, and many more - and of course - LINE DANCING!  Point Point will offer us dancers their delicious $10 dinner special which includes a soft drink.  (More details below.).   So come on over - Party time:  from 6pm until 10pm at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City.

THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (FEB. 5, 2015):

Lots of line dances as usual, including 16 line dances non-stop from 6 to 7pm.  A while later Suzanne was in front dancing to "Jamaican Love".

And, a while after that, Edith, Florita and Gloria were in front on "Carinito".  Some other line dance favorites were "Spanish Eyes", the relatively new "All About That Bass", and a new one Nina introduced, "More Than A Woman".

Guys like  me preferred the ballroom dances.  Above Maria and Royce enjoyed a tango.

And next to them, Lou & Nickie were dancing to the same tango.

Edith and Gino danced nicely to the cumbia "Desvelado".

We welcomed Eva & Dwayne back from a month or so in the Philippines.  They looked mighty fine dancing to the night club 2-step "Sinta".  In fact, I do not remember ever seeing Dwayne wearing a tie before.

The guys outnumbered the ladies for the 1st time in over a year, so I was lucky to get to dance with Florita to the merengue "Suavemente".


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  For this week's Valentines Dance Party on Thursday (February 12, 2015), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual will offer their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is dancing in San Diego on Thursday nights - they are private parties, and this is your invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others dance make these, for example, great swing dancing lessons in San Diego.
