Chinese New Year Dance Party at Point Point This Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015

Hi Again Dancers,

It's the Chinese New Year Dance Party at Point Point Joint this Thursday night Feb. 19, 2015.  This is YOUR INVITATION to join the party.  If you have Chinese-like attire, go ahead & wear it.  DJ Mel will play swing, cha cha, cumbia, tango, and many more - and of course - LINE DANCING!  Point Point will offer us dancers their delicious $10 dinner special which includes a soft drink.  (More details below.).   So come on over - Party time:  from 6pm until 10pm at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City.

Last Thursday at the Valentines Dance Party there was an incredibly colorful group of nearly 50 dancers.  The following 12 photos tell part of the story.          (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):

THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (FEB. 12, 2015):

It was the Valentines Dance Party.  Daisy & Lito came early and stayed late.  Above they were dancing a rumba  to "Neon Moon".

Romy brought in what was the best gift of the night - a HUGE box of fresh avocados

Guess what.  They were gone in 60 seconds!

Eden in Valentine red danced the "Boca Dulce Boca" cha cha with Nick.

Next to them, Tito and first-timer Delores were also dancing the cha cha.

Ruben and Penny were some other "Boca Dulce Boca" dancers.

And, there were many line dances, including non-stop from 6 to 7pm.  Later, I spotted Sally and Heidi dancing the "Wobble" line dance.

Later in the night, line dancers were up for "Blurred Lines".

Sally and husband Ed, dancing above, were first-timers who drove down from North County.

There was a lot going on.  One highlight of the night was a celebration of Lou's birthday.  It was an opportunity for the ladies in Valentines Party red to line up around Lou, who has her chin held by Florita in the photo above.

Eva dressed as Cupid and she won the Best Valentine Attire Award.

Other special awards of the night are pictured above:  Romy & Marilyn were the Most Romantic Couple.  Maria & Royce won Hosts' Appreciation Gift Certificates.  Lito and Daisy also won a Hosts' Appreciation Award.  And, Tito & Ladies won a bottle of wine for being the Most Joyous Group of the night.

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  For this week's Chinese New Year Dance Party on Thursday (February 19, 2015), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual will offer their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is dancing in San Diego on Thursday nights - they are private parties, and this is your invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others dance make these, for example, the best salsa dance lessons in San Diego.
(2) You can click on Links to many YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this for "Blurred Lines").  And, see websites like: this group's Home Page and Upcoming Dances.
