Let's Dance - Thursday Night at Point Point Joint, Nov. 13, 2014

Hey There Dancers ,

  It will be another fabulously fun DANCE PARTY this Thursday night at Point Point Joint, November 13, 2014.  This is YOUR INVITATION to be there.  The wonderful DJ Bing will be playing swing, cha cha, cumbia, tango, and many more - and of course - LINE DANCING!  Point Point will offer us dancers their delicious $10 dinner special which includes a soft drink.  (More details below.).   So come on over - Party time:  from 6pm until 10pm at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City.  

  Last Thursday November 6, 2014, was another night to remember with nearly 40 enjoying dancing to the music of DJ Leo.   The six photos below show part of the story.  (My camera was acting up & still on Daylight Time.)        (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):

THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (NOVEMBER 6, 2014):

The highlight of the night was Beth's birthday party.  Beth had a cake, sandwiches and Above, Beth is surrounded by 14 beautiful well-wishers.

And, of course there were muchos line dances - including non-stop from six to seven PM.  Above, it was "Aguardiente", with Eva and my Edith in front.

A while later the line dance was "A Namorada" with Penny and Gina in front.  (Thanks to DJ Bing's song recognizer, I finally got the song title "A Namorada" correct, not "Enamorada" as I had been calling it.) 

And, we guys liked the ballroom dances.  Above it was Marilyn and Ping dancing to the tango "Adios Muchachos". 

Later, Suzanne and Bert A were dancing to a night club 2-step. 

When it came time for the recently-weekly "Bakit Pa", while some ladies were singing their hearts out, Nedy and Mel (not DJ Mel) were enjoying the night club 2-step.


   On Thursday we had lots of fun with other ballroom dance songs like "Let's Twist Again", "Baile Del Suavito" (salsa), and "No Matter What" (rumba).  And, the women loved the line dances including:  "Stuck On You", "Blurred Lines", and "Carinito".  

  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  For this weeks' dance party on Thursday (November 13, 2014), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers. 

  With DJ Mel Zaragoza in the last couple weeks of his "vacation" in the Philippines, here's the plan for the next few weeks at Point Point:

P.S. Other Notes: (1) This is the best dancing in National City on Thursday nights - they are private parties, and this is your invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instruction while others dance makes this the best San Diego ballroom dance.
