Last Thursday June 5, 2014, 35 rollicking dancers lived it up at Point Point Joint, all enjoying DJ Mel's dance music - the eight photos below tell part of the story.

THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (JUNE 5, 2014):

One of the cutest dance moves - Bert Alota dipped Mona during a night club two-step.

A while later, Nene and Jake were looking good on the dance floor again, this time dancing to the rumba "Reloj".

And, Bert Alota was enjoying the "Reloj" rumba with Suzanne.

Next to them was a visiting star dancer of the 32ndStreet Dance Group, Cora, and she was dancing with MarkCora was celebrating her birthday.

Later on, I spotted two other great dancers, Florita and Ruben, dancing to a cumbia.

Lots of line dancing as usual. This is my favorite photo of the line dancers last Thursday - they are dancing to "Caranito", but maybe we should call it "Dancing In All Directions".

Ruben and Rima here.  They were dancing to the cumbia "Amor Ala Mexicana" near closing time.

It was late - some dancers had left - but when the hip hop "Family Affair" got played - Holy Smoke!  The dancers were delighted.  Then I saw many of the night's star dancers, from left to right Nickie, Edith, Nene, Estrelle, Eva, Mona, Rima and Cora.

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  For this weeks' Dance Party on Thursday (June 12, 2014), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, NationalCity, as usual offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is the invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.

(2) You can click on Hyperlinks in this email (colored like this one for "Caranito") and others in this email to see things like: this group's Home Page and Upcoming Dances.
