Hello Dancers,

   This coming Thursday (August 8th) will be another great Dance Party from 6 to 10PM at Point Point Joint Restaurant (details below).  Free line dance lesson from 6pm-7pm, with DJ Mel once again teaching a couple line dances.  
   Last Thursday (August 1st) at Point Point seemed like VIP NIGHT to me.  Rose Mata, the leader of FASCA's Friday night Red Hot Line Dancers, was there with some friends.  Also, "Queenbea" Bea Estrada, a long-time luminary at RMX Dance Group, came by with a very fancy camera and took a bunch of pictures. Dancers from South Bay Terraces Seniors come most every Thursday, and several were at Point Point again this past Thursday.  The early line dance lesson covered some line dances for some beginners:  "Almost Jamaica", "Red Hot Salsa", and "Memory".  I had a bad foot, so I was not among the 25 dancers enjoying ballroom and line dances.

Across the floor, Nedy and Ruben were dancing then, too.

Around 9 o'clock I spotted Lita dancing a cumbia with Ruben.

Hey guys!  Where were you?  I thought it was the best dance of the night.  Some ladies were not going to skip dancing to the "Right Thing" waltz line dance.

And, at closing time even Lydia could not resist dancing to "Stuck On You".  

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point with line dances and ballroom swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  Once again this coming Thursday Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is your invitation to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  Every Thursday there are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
