Hello Dancers,
This coming Thursday (August 15th) will be another great Dance Party from 6 to 10PM at Point Point Joint Restaurant (details below). Free line dance lesson from 6pm-7pm, with DJ Mel once again teaching a couple line dances.
Last Thursday (August 8th) at Point Point had 35 dancers as we welcomed some dancers who had not shown up for several weeks. The free line dance lessons included "Jo N' Jo Tango Line Dance", named after two choreographers named "Jo". Also, I saw line dancers when DJ Mel played "Tonight" by Jessica Sanchez.
Photo Highlights from August 8th: (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "images have been blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):
DJ Mel kept the dancers dancing with great songs. Here he's dancing with Mona.
Tony was back on the dance floor after months of knee surgery recuperation. Here he was dancing with Marilou.
We gave a big welcome to a Point Point First-Timer, Sally, seen here dancing to "Suavemente" merengue with Hector.
Hey guys! Where are you? Dancing stars like Nedy and Beth here cannot sit still for a great dance song, in this case "Amor Ala Mexicana" cumbia.
And, just before closing time, the Waltz Line Dance (to "Right Thing We Do") got lots of folks dancing, except me with a bad foot.
It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point with line dances and ballroom swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more. Once again this coming Thursday Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.
Here's the plan for the next few weeks (well, at least until DJ Leo gets up to speed after his long trip in the Philippines):
Thursday August 15th 6-10pm, DJ Mel, including free line dance lesson 6-7pm
Thursday August 22nd 6-10pm, DJ Mel
See you on the dance floor,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is your invitation to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego. Every Thursday there are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
