RMX Dance Group at Lucky Star on Nov 10th

Hello Dancers,
Mira Mesa's delightful RMX Dancers were in abundance at Lucky Star Nov 10th for Filipino Night.  More on that below.

TUESDAY NIGHT (free!) LINE DANCING - Tuesday November 9th, free line dance night at Point Point, was busy, with what I think was an all-time high of 24 people dancing.  Well, all-time since we began in June.  Nina was busy getting ready for Saturday's Cavite Chabacano fiesta, so the rest of us had DJ duty till Nina showed up.  Nitz introduced us to two line dances that are being done at the 32nd Street Dance Group, dancing to the older songs "I Love The Nightlife" and "Rock Around The Clock", both downloadable from the Files section.  The surprisingly large group also enjoyed talking, eating Point Point food, and dancing to "Rose Garden", "September", "Sex Bomb", "Simplemente", "Tennessee Waltz", "Volare", and other line dances.
You can join the fun this coming Tuesday (November 16th) at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, 6:30-9:00, when Nina will again lead us through fun line dances.

WEDNESDAY FILIPINO NIGHT at Lucky Star Restaurant on November 10th, was a once in a lifetime occasion - 20 beautiful ladies, including many from Mira Mesa's RMX Dance Group, and only 10 guys.  And, only 3 of the guys danced with anyone other than the lady they came with.  Two of those guys were Bong and I.  Just like 2 weeks ago, some ladies left early, disappointed that there were so few guys dancing with them.  Well, I really enjoyed the night.  DJ Eric was AWOL again, so THERE WAS NO COVER CHARGE.  But, once again, Lucky Star asked us to leave at 9pm.  Boo.  Nevertheless, a big THANK YOU  to Carlos for bringing about a dozen cheerful RMX Dance Group dancers (see photos in photo albums).  Lulu, one of their dance instructors, gave me a lesson.  Once again, the manager let us play our dance CDs on Lucky Star's nice sound system.  I brought the favorite songs that DJs Dwayne, John, and Eric played, like "I Have A Dream", "La Ultima Noche" cha cha, "Lady In Red", "The Right Thing We Do" waltz, "Yo Te Amo" 2-step, etc. With so few line dancers there, line dances were few & far between - just "Todo Todo Todo", "Coco Jamboo", and "Tennessee Waltz".
We're looking forward to this coming week's "Filipino Night". It will again be WEDNESDAY NIGHT (November 17th) in the LUCKY STAR RESTAURANT from who knows, maybe 6 to 9:30pm, if DJ Eric is back (and the $6 cover charge would return).

THURSDAY NIGHT DANCING AT JADE HOUSE.  The Jade House Restaurant at 569 H Street, Chula Vista, had its 2nd Thursday night of dancing and karaoke on Veterans Day (Nov 11th).  Vangie Mangune managed things very well again, with a buffet dinner, dancing and karaoke for $10, from 6PM-nearly midnight.  Munchies and Nachos in the dance room were fun to eat all night.  DJ RT kept the music going.  There was a lot of socializing among about 30 dancers who showed up, including mostly a mixture of dancers from the 32nd Street group, Forever Young, Nina's Tuesday night line dancers, and other groups (see photos in photo albums).
Vangie invited us to Jade House to watch Saturday night's Pacquiao-Margarito fight, which ended with a 12-round unanimous win for the Philippines' Pacquiao.
If you can, add next Thursday night Nov 18th at Jade House to your social agenda.

PHOTOS:
First of all, from Lucky Star "Filipino Night" Wednesday Nov 10th, the Lulu and Esta are in front of some RMX Dancers for a cha cha dance routine.

Then, at Jade House Thursday night dancing November 11th, we see Angie and Ping enjoying what seems to be a tango.  Vangie and a visiting dance instructor are in the photo's background.

I put those plus 18 other photos from the past week in the Forever Young Group Photos section into the '2010 November' folder.  For those of you who prefer the features of Google's Picasa Web Albums, and you who are non-Yahoo members, the November photos are also posted at
