NO DANCE PARTY at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday April 17, 2025

Hello Dancers,  

NO DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro this coming Thursday, April 17th, in honor of Holy Thursday, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ).  Plan on coming the following Thursday April 24th for a Ballroom & Line Dance Party, when there'll be lots of dancing, fun, and food and beverages off the menu.
   
  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

APRIL BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, April 10, 2025, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a mild and dry night, celebrating people with birthdays in April.  There were almost 60 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most copied from Facebook posts:

  UPCOMING EVENTS signs for Eastlake were held by "Ring Girls" Eva, Sol, Zeny and 1st-timer Del in the photo above.

 

 

  LINE DANCING alternated with ballroom dancing.  In the photo above, "The Friends" performed a special line dance choreographed by Angie to "Love Never Felt So Good" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG08ukJPtR8 ).  Sheila, Connie, Karina and Beth were in front. Nedy and Angie were behind them.

 

 

  ROLAND'S INSPIRING LINE DANCERS performed a special line dance in colorful attire.  Zeny and Cesar were in the front, more or less.  Behind them we see Roland, Merely, Remy, Mary Jane, Eva, and Irish. Sol was off to the right, all in white.  They danced the "Party Jumpin' " line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVI2p1EVDfw ).

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, Amor enjoyed dancing with Bert Alota to what appears to be a night club 2-step.

 

 

 BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS with birthdays in April posed behind the birthday cake and ice cream.  Among their gifts were flashlights and what appears to be lottery tickets from DJ Nickie.  They were Ver, first-timer Del, Mark, Angie and Karina

Thursday, May 1, 2025:  CINCO DE MAYO & MEXICAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ).  6pm - 9:30pm. Cinco De Mayo & Mexican attired dancers vie for prizes.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, May 8, 2025: BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ).  6pm - 9:30pm.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These have been really fun ballroom and line dance parties, and Filipino dancing.  While the dancing and music have been non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
