BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday January 16, 2025

Hello Dancers,  

  You are invited to a BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday January 16th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the wonderful DJ Nickie Bascos.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Nickie will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  Another cold and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A JANUARY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, January 9, 2025, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a cold and dry night.  There were 50 in attendance, thanks in part to 1 first-timer.  Here are 8 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, all copied from Facebook posts:

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above.  Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together, and a prayer for people suffering due to fires in Los Angeles.

 

 

  FOOD, in the photo above, was delicious and plentiful thanks to all the people who brought it to the party

 

 

  LINE DANCING alternated with ballroom dancing.  In the photo above, DJ Bing and Myrna were in the front line, more or less, leading line dancers.  I'm not sure which line dance it was, but "Flowers" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Iz74SJVZ7Q ) was a well-liked line dance during the party.

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, birthday celebrant Houda and Sami enjoyed dancing what appears to be a night club 2-step.

 

 

  UPCOMING EVENTS signs for Eastlake were held by "Ring Girls" May, Nedy, Annie and Connie in the photo above.

 

 

  RUBEN SPOKE of the Eastlake Association's request for a new application for us to use the clubhouse on Thursday nights.

 

 

  BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS with birthdays in January posed behind the birthday cake, and they got congratulations.  They were Houda, Nora, Connie, Josie, Ruben and Mel.

 

 

  THE BIRTHDAY CAKE was another delicious nicely decorated cake baked by Myra (Veronica).

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
