70's DISCO DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday January 23, 2025

Hello Dancers, 

  You are invited to a 70's DISCO DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday January 23rd at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the great DJ Nickie Bascos.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. Disco-attired winners vie for prizes. DJ Nickie will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A cool and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, January 16, 2025, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a cold and dry night.  The main gate was not opening, so dancers entered and left using the vehicle gate on the other side of the office building. There were almost 40 in attendance, thanks in part to 1 first-timer.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most all copied from Facebook posts:

 

  BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above.  Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  LINE DANCING alternated with ballroom dancing.  In Nedy's selfie above, Houda and Edith were in the front line.  It looks like it was the "Borracho Y Loco" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VO-gndsGLvo )

 

 

UPCOMING EVENTS signs for Eastlake were held by "Ring Girls" Aurea, Isabel, 1st-timer Carmel, and Melba in the photo above.  

 

  BALLROOM DANCE "SHOW-OFFs" were demonstrated by 4 couples called upon by Edith.  BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Sally and Ver enjoyed dancing what appears to be a night club 2-step.

 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
