JUNE BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday June 20, 2024

Hello Dancers,  

 You are invited to a JUNE BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday June 20, 2024, especially if you have a birthday in June, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the marvelous DJ Nickie Bascos. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, cake & ice cream, roses for birthday ladies and balloons. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  DJ Nickie will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast, again.

   DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A FILIPINO NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, June  13th (a day after Philippine Independence Day), with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night.  There were over 50 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers, many in GLAMOROUS Filipino attire.  Here are 10 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Almost all were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 

 NINE BY EASTLAKE.  Nine ladies posed early in the evening. Eva, Nora, Lolit, Vangie, Elaine, Melba, Merely, Myrna and Estrelle posed in their Filipino Night attire.

 

 

  BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above, many in Filipino Night attire. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  CULTURAL DANCE.  Geraldine and others were going around and around, dancing to a Filipino culture dance on Filipino Night.

 

 

  UPCOMING EVENTS for Thursday night dancing at Eastlake.  Ring Girls Vangie, Jane (a first-timer), Elaine and Lou held up signs with the upcoming schedule for Thursday nights at Eastlake.

 

 

  GLAMOROUS "FRIENDS" in their Filipino Night attire danced a special dance to Filipino tunes, including tinikling.  On the left were Nedy, Josie, Beth and Angie.  On the right, facing the other way were Karina, Connie and Eden.

 

 

  "THE EASTLAKE DANCERS" performed a special line dance to "Homecoming" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIkXOaSmvGg ).  Merely and Lolit were in front. Roland and Irish were next, followed by Eva and Mary Jane.

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, Vangie and Ruben were dancing what looks like a night-club 2-step dance.

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES who were still in Filipino attire at 9pm posed for the photo above.  They were Romi & Geraldine, Roland & Irish, Elaine & John, and Eva & Dwayne. Josie handed out prizes, and she was a prize donor.

 

 

 WINNING SINGLES who were still in Filipino attire at 9pm posed for the photo above, well at least most of them.  In this photo we see Annie, Nedy, Merely, Beth, Melba, Myrna, Manny (kneeling), Lolit, Jocelyn, Connie, Estrelle, Lou, Florita, Jane and Gemma.  Other winners not in this photo were Alice, Charito, Vangie, Mary Jane, Sunshine, Isabel, Rossana, Karina, Ruben and Myra. The names of 10 winners were randomly drawn and those 10 got prizes.

 

 

 MORE WINNING SINGLES, who chose to NOT be in the drawing for prizes were Angie, Josie and Eden.  Well, Josie was a prize donor.  Anyway, these 3 wanted to be in their own photo.  OK.

 

 

UPCOMING EVENTS. The Eastlake HOA has reduced our schedule for upcoming Eastlake dances, with no dance parties on 2 upcoming Thursdays per the above schedule.

Thursday, July 4, 2024:  NO DANCE. The clubhouse is supposedly closed on that holiday.


Thursday, July 11, 2024:  JULY BIRTHDAYS PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  Roses for birthday ladies. Balloons. DJ Bing Villafuerte


 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
