NO DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday June 6, 2024

Hello Dancers,  

 Sorry, but there is NO Thursday night dance at Eastlake this Thursday, June 6th.  The Eastlake HOA is using the clubhouse for another purpose on that day.  But, come back on June 13th for Filipino Night.

A 1920's FLAPPERS NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, May 30th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night.  There were over 60 in attendance, many in GLAMOROUS flappers attire.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Many were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 

  FIVE FLAPPERS BY EASTLAKE.  Five posed early in the evening. Janet, Melba, Edith, Rei and Nora posed lakeside for the photo above in their flappers attire.

 

 

  BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above, many in Flappers Night attire. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  GLAMOROUS "FRIENDS" in their flappers costumes danced a special line dance to "In The Mood" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aME0qvhZ37o ).  Sheila, Eden and Karina were in front, with Rei and Connie in the second line, and Angie, Beth and Nedy in back.

 

 

 SPECIAL PERFORMANCE.  The glamorous "Eastlake Dancers" performed a special line dance called "Soy Desperado"  ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Inp01eSr_g ).  They were Irish and Lolit in front, followed by Mary Jane and Valerie (hidden), with Liz, Roland and Merely in back.

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, Florita and Leo were dancing what looks like a swing dance.

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES who were still in flappers attire at 9pm posed for the photo above.  They were Geraldine & Romi, Roland & Irish, Elaine & John, and Merely and Willie. Rei and Lydia helped hand out prizes, and Josie donated some prizes.

 

 

  WINNING SINGLES who were still in flappers attire at 9pm posed for the photo above.  There were too many winners for one photo, so in this photo we see Lydia, Rossana, Aida, Charito, Annie, Beth, Alice, Ayrene, Valerie, Rei, Nedy, Beth, Mary Jane, Sheila & Karina (not looking), Eden, Lou and Florita.  Other winners not in this photo were Connie, Angie and Nora.

 

 UPCOMING EVENTS. The Eastlake HOA has reduced our schedule for upcoming Eastlake dances, with no dance parties on 3 upcoming Thursdays per the above schedule.

Thursday, June 20, 2024:  JUNE BIRTHDAYS PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  Roses for birthday ladies. Balloons. DJ Nickie Bascos


Thursday, June 27, 2024:  NO DANCE.  Eastlake HOA has another activity on that date.

 
 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
