CHRISTMAS AND DECEMBER BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday December 14, 2023

Hello Dancers,  

   You are invited to a combined CHRISTMAS and DECEMBER BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY this Thursday December 14, 2023, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. So, if you have a birthday in December or would like a Christmas Party, please come.  (Our reservation for December 21st was cancelled by the HOA.) There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The incredible DJ Nickie Bascos will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  More cool and dry weather is currently forecast for Thursday night. It's possible that DJ Eric will make a guest appearance, too.

 DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, December 7th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte.  There were 45 in attendance, thanks in part to three 1st-timers.  Here are 4 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Most were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on with ballroom dances until 10PM.  In the photo above, dancers enjoyed a well-liked line dance called "Cold Heart" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1De2dpLmRas ).  You can see Edith and Karina more or less in the front line. 

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance. In the photo above, Mona and DJ Bing were enjoying what seems to have been the swing "All Of Me" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbtLqVoMWdQ )

 

 

 DANCING JOYOUSLY, in Nedy's selfie above, Mona and Janet were enjoying dancing in a circle to what was something like "Wooly Bully" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcU3b_OfGrs ). 


CLUBHOUSE RESERVATION ISSUES.  Various issues in regards to Thursday dancing in the Eastlake HOA Clubhouse remain unresolved. The latest is the matter of cancelling "our" Thursday night reservations. The HOA Board seems willing to waive the weekly rental fee and the need to make frequent reservation requests.  However, the requirement to keep the bathrooms locked at all times is proving to be difficult.

Thursday, December 21, 2023: No dance.  Eastlake HOA gave "our" night to another group.


Thursday, December 28, 2023: NEW YEARS MASQUERADE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Masquerade-costumed winners vie for prizes. DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, January 4, 2024:  Dance Party at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte. 


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
