DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday July 6, 2023

Hello Dancers,  

        You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this Thursday July 6, 2023, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The wonderful DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast, again. Until then, have a happy 4th of July.  

 DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  NOTE: There's a street sign that H Street will be resurfaced  in July.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A RED WHITE & BLUE NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, June 29th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a nice-weather night.  There were about 60 in attendance, including about a dozen 1st-timers, and a lot went on.  Here are eleven photos, most from the Red White & Blue Night posts on Facebook:

 

BY THE LAKE.  Early in the evening there were people posing by Eastlake. In the photo above you see Gemma, Janet, Nora, Edith, Delia, Lolit, Estrelle and Liz posing by Eastlake.

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In the photo above, Connie, Nedy, DJ Bing and Victoria were in the front line, more or less, dancing the line dance "It's So Easy" ( http://youtu.be/XBFCwWXzYF4 ).

 

 

BEFORE EATING, attendees, many in Red, White & Blue attire, posed for the group photo above. Beth gave a blessing for the food, thankfulness for bringing us all together, and a prayer for Cindy and her family. Visitation for Cindy at Glen Abbey is scheduled for the evening of July 22nd.

 

 

 

THE BJV ZUMBA DANCERS danced a Zumba Medley ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QKnxVOPOIk ).  They were Janet in front, with Nida, Edna, May and Josie.

 

 

 

THE EASTLAKE LINE DANCING SUPERWOMEN performed their award-winning dance, "Holding Out For A Hero".  They had won top prize at Dance-A-Thon on June 24th at the Scottish Rite Temple in San Diego. In the photo above, Faith is in front, followed by Mayethe, Lolit and Michelle.

 

 

 EDITH GAVE CONGRATULATIONS and thanks to the Eastlake Superwomen Line Dancers after Roland introduced them.  In the photo above they were Faith, Beverly, Michelle, Joanne, Irish, Belinda, Lolit, Delia and Mayethe.

 

 

BALLROOM DANCING was plentiful.  In Nedy's selfie photo above, Eden and Ruben were enjoying dancing to a boogie.

 

 

 BELINDA'S BIRTHDAY was celebrated.  In the photo above, Belinda was getting ready to enjoy a cake baked by Delia, a chocolate cake with banana cream filling.

 

 

 

 WINNING RED WHITE & BLUE ATTIRED COUPLES in the photo above were Charlie & Nida, Janet & DJ Bing, Geraldine & Romi, Michael & Lolit, Ric & Connie, Roland & Irish, and Coni & Edwin.  Also, Mayethe & Tex won but they were not in this photo.

 

 

 

 WINNING RED WHITE & BLUE ATTIRED LADIES (well, half of them) posed for the photo above.  They were May, Susie, Florita (on her last night before returning to the Philippines), Delia, Belinda, Gemma, Beverly, Sheila and Eden.  Liz and Josie also won but were not in this photo.

 

 

WINNING RED WHITE & BLUE ATTIRED LADIES (well, another half of them) posed for the photo above.  They were Alice, Beth, Victoria, Lou, Estrelle, Nedy, Eva and Joanne.  Rossana was also a winner, but she was not in the photo above.

  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
