BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY in EASTLAKE This Thursday November 9, 2017

Hello Dancers,  

  Join a BIRTHDAY DANCE PARTY this Thursday night November 9th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages, and roses for ladies with November birthdays and balloons. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The spectacular DJ Nickie Bascos will fill in for vacationing Bing and will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

THURSDAY NOVEMBER 2, 2017, DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "My Carol (Oh Carol)" line dance, it was Edith and Belen in front of Connie and Eden.

FOOD LINE.  Above, Nina was ready to give a blessing for the food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Nick & Eden brought honey baked chicken, yakisoba, and turon.  Geraldine brought binatog. Belen and Rei brought snacks. Beth, back from the Philippines, brought squid, dried fish and rice. Estrelle brought pichi pichi.  And, there was more.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, first-timers Connie and Rick had fun dancing to "How Will I Know".

RUMBA.  I was fortunate enough to dance with Dolly to the lovely "Carino Mio".

Thursday, November 30, 2017:  COWBOY & WESTERN NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best attire. DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights, with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
