BEACH PARTY Dance at Eastlake This Thursday August 11, 2016

OK Dancers,  
  It'll be a BEACH PARTY Dance this Thursday night, August 11, 2016, again in the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be prizes for best attire, even though judges offered no clue as to what to wear other than I'd be disqualified if I wear a Speedo and Edith will be disqualified if she wears a bikini.  There'll be snacks and beverages.  A $5 donation will be requested.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The phenomenal DJ Mel Zaragoza will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.  DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence. 


Last Thursday, August 4, 2016, was a fabulous dance with DJ Bing Villafuerte playing at Eastlake.  Either by coincidence or some helping hand, there were over 40 dancers at the party. THURSDAY AUGUST 4, 2016, DANCE at Eastlake 1 Clubhouse:

FOOD was great.  Above, waiting for food, it was - well, you probably know their names.  Nick & Eden brought picadillo.  Beth and Valerie brought spaghetti.  DJ Mel brought potato salad.  Rei brought suman.  Daisy brought chocolate mallows, and there was a lot more.   

LOVELY LADIES BY THE LAKE, plus Royce.  Need I say more? 

LINE DANCING was non-stop from six until seven, then periodically until ten.  Above, dancing to "Under The Boardwalk", Nora, Edith and Rei were in the front line.  You can see that the master line dancer Royce was behind them.

CUMBIA.  Above, Adelle and Felix enjoyed dancing to the cumbia "Piel Morena".

WATCHING from the sidelines, above it was Nedy, Elsie, Nora and Neriza.

Saturday, August 27, 2016:  Dance to Benefit San Roque Parish Church, Cavite City, Philippines.  6pm-midnight, at Cora Anderson Dance Studio, 8990 Miramar Road, Suite 250, San Diego 92126. $25. DJ Mario. Contact: Nina at 619-342-6774  

Thursday, September 1, 2016:  Dance Party back in Old Town, 6pm-10pm for at the Old Town Community Church, 2444 Congress Street, San Diego.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best Thursday night line dances in San Diego.
