Dance Again at Eastlake's Clubhouse This Thursday April 7, 2016

Hi Again Dancers,  

   Let's dance again this Thursday night dancing in the Eastlake 1 association's lakeside Clubhouse at 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista 91913 from 6-10pm.  FREE admission.  FREE parking.  FREE snacks.  FREE beverages.  DJ Bing will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm.  DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street East exit off 805. Go east on H Street (for about 5 miles).  Turn right onto Eastlake Drive (a lighted intersection).  Go about a block and turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Pavilion is beyond the white gate.

  What a PARTY last Thursday!! DJ Bing played for over 60 dancers! About 10 of the Prime Ladies of San Diego including Marie showed up because their usual Thursday night dance was cancelled.  Nickie Bascos brought several Mira Mesa Sr Center dancers because the Sr Center is closed to dancing until July.  And, Emelie came with several of Jun Ancho's Circle of Frenz. About 20 former Point Point Jointers. Lots of FOOD!!  Pancit from Emelie & Nickie and others, leche flan from Jake, and others brought donuts, cookies, candy and a variety of chips & dips.  The eight photos below show a bit of a very busy night.   (Note: If the following 8 photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):


LAST THURSDAY MARCH 31, 2016, AT EASTLAKE 1 CLUBHOUSE AT 2050 LAKESHORE DRIVE, CHULA VISTA:

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm-7pm.  Above, dancing to "Let's Get Loud", Edith, Tess, and Fe were in the front line.

HAPPY TOGETHER.  While line dancers danced to "Let's Mambo Together", Tess, Myna, Edith and Nora did their own little dance.

TANGO TIME.  We guys preferred ballroom dances. Above, Lito and Neriza danced tango nicely to "Blue Tango".

MIRA MESA GIRLS.  Doing their own dance to "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", left to right it was Pure, Lou, Aurea and Aurora, who hopefully found Eastlake to be a suitable substitute for the temporarily-closed Mira Mesa Senior Center.

CUMBIA.  Nitz and Val danced to "Amor Ala Mexicana".  Val dances often in Quezon City's Savannah Moon club when he is in Manila.

Jun Alcantara was one of the high energy dancers.  Above, he danced with Edith to "Rumba Samba Mambo".

DJ BING played great songs up until 10pm.

SALSA.  Above, I got to dance with Dolores to the salsa "Mi Bom Bon".

  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best merengue dancing lessons in San Diego.
