70's Disco Dance Party at Eastlake This Thursday April 21, 2016

Hello Dancers,  

   It'll be a "theme" party: 70's Disco Party this Thursday night Apr. 21st in the Eastlake 1 association's beachside Clubhouse at 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista 91913 from 6-10pm.  FREE admission.  FREE parking.  FREE snacks (and maybe food).  FREE beverages.  Prize to winning attire.  DJ Bing will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation!   DIRECTIONS:  Take the H Street East to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block and turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the clubhouse is beyond the white gate.

  Last Thursday was a joyous party at Eastlake. LAST THURSDAY APRIL 14, 2016, AT EASTLAKE 1 CLUBHOUSE AT 2050 LAKESHORE DRIVE, CHULA VISTA:

DINNER. Yes, plenty of Filipino FOOD again like lumpia from birthday girl Emelie, siopao from Nina & Friends, pancit from Josie, fruit dish from (?), and much more.  In the food line:  Nedy, Nene, Elma and Lito. 

LINE DANCING was big.  Above, dancing to "Take Me Away", Gigi, Nedy and Nene were in the front line.

SAMBA.  Neriza and Myrna looked good dancing to "Bailando".

BORRACHO Y LOCO.  Edith and Elsie are in front dancing the line dance "Bachata Risma".

BALLROOM.  We guys preferred ballroom dances. Above, Elma and Lito danced probably to a tango.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Emelie!  Wishing her well by her birthday cake were Ralph, Suzanne, Nita, Bert Alota and Josie.

RUMBA.  While Ping and Elsie danced rumba, some others line danced to "Beguine Per Sognare".

MIRA MESA GIRLS!    Above, while most line danced to "Uptown Funk", Aurea and Pure did their own cute dance.  They had come down from Mira Mesa with Nickie Bascos after Thursday evening line dancing up there.

BOOGIE.  I got to dance with Gigi to a boogie called "Love Song".

LET'S GO.  After closing time there was still time for another group photo.

Thursday, April 28, 2016:  Due to a prior reservation of the Eastlake Clubhouse, the dance party on April 28th will be at the Old Town Community Church, 2444 Congress Street, San Diego CA 92110


Thursday, May 5, 2016, for CINCO DE MAYO Party:   Dancing 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake 1 lakeside clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


Thursday, May 12, 2016:   Dancing 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake 1 lakeside clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others are dancing make these, for example, the best free rumba dancing lessons in San Diego.
