Let's Dance this Thursday August 14, 2014 at Point Point

OK Dancers,
  We're going to have fun again this Thursday night at Point Point Joint, August 14, 2014.  And this is YOUR INVITATION to join the dance party this coming Thursday.  The fantastic DJ Mel Zaragoza will be playing swing, cha cha, cumbia, tango, and many more - and of course - LINE DANCING!  Point Point will offer us dancers their delicious $10 dinner special which includes a soft drink.  (More details below.).  So come on over - Party time:  from 6pm until 10pm at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City.  

  Last Thursday August 7, 2014, about 40 dancers were fired up for fun and frolic with music by DJ Mel.

THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (AUGUST 7, 2014):

Lots of line dances again.  This picture shows Lou, Gloria, Florita and Edith in front on "Bachata Risma".  Other favorite line dances were "Carinito" and "Spanish Eyes".  "Aguardiente" and "Timber" continue to gain a following.

Several good photos during the cumbia "Desvelado".  First it was Bert Alota and Suzanne.

It was Romy who first had us play "Desvelado" last year.  So, of course he & Marilyn danced to it.

The Golden Girl Susie had fun dancing "Desvelado" with DJ Mel.

And, Gino and Solly looked mighty good dancing the cumbia, too.

A while later, with Point Point nice and warm Tito and Florita were dancing to "Disco Inferno".

And, right next to them I got to dance it with Josie.

  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  For this weeks' Dance Party on Thursday (August 14, 2014), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is the invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
