Dance at Point Point this Thursday August 28, 2014

Hello Dancers,
  You bet we'll have fun dancing and partying this Thursday night at Point Point Joint, August 28, 2014, and this is YOUR INVITATION to be there.  The phenomenal DJ Mel Zaragoza will be playing swing, cha cha, cumbia, tango, and many more - and of course - LINE DANCING!  Point Point will offer us dancers their delicious $10 dinner special which includes a soft drink.  (More details below.).  So come on over - Party time:  from 6pm until 10pm at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City.

THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (AUGUST 21, 2014):

We had a whole bunch of line dances again, including non-stop from 6 to 7pm.  This picture shows Nina, Zeny and Belen in front on "Linda Eh". 

I think the highlight of the evening was the surprise - Marie, leader of the Prime Ladies of San Diego, came with Lolita, another Prime Lady of San Diego.  And, we got lessons on two line dances.  Above we see Marie leading on "Disco Cha Cha Line Dance." 

Marie was very busy dancing ballroom dances, too.  Here she's dancing with Dione to the bachata "Down Down".

I went around the room snapping pictures during the bachata "Down Down".  Here we see Gino and Nedy dancing to it.

And Gloria and Tito were also dancing the bachata.

Bert Alota and Suzanne were also dancing to it.

And guess what.  I got to dance with one of the best Prime Ladies of San Diego, Lolita.  I was having so much fun Thursday night that I did not feel the warm air.  By the way, Edith became the designated bouncer after she coaxed a couple of homeless interlopers out the door.

Timber Line Dance - Florita was rollicking so much on Timber that I recorded about half a minute of it and posted it on YouTube.  I'll try to record more the next time.


  It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  For this weeks' Dance Party on Thursday (August 28, 2014), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is the invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.  Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instruction while others dance makes this the best free dance lessons in San Diego.
