Dance Party at Point Point This Thursday (December 12th, 2013)

Hello Dancers,

   This coming Thursday December 12th will be a great Dance Party from 6 to 10PM at Point Point Joint Restaurant (details below). 
   The dance party last Thursday (December 5th) at Point Point had over 40 dancers enjoying the dance music of DJ Mel, thanks in part to about 8 Thursday night first-timers.

On Tuesday night, December 3rd, Nina's line dancers decided to have a pre-Christmas line dance party on Tuesday December 17th in Point Point with a little gift exchange.  Above is a photo of nine of the line dancers on December 3rd.

Speaking of line dancing, this past Thursday December 5th had no shortage of line dances.  In the photo above we see JoJo, Hector and Nedy in front dancing to what I think is "Let's get Loud". 

A while later I spotted Romy dancing a cumbia with Clemons.

About that time, Florita and Lita enjoyed a dance.

A few minutes later Hector was dancing with Celia.

Near closing time Romy was dancing again, this time with JoJo.

At the same time across the floor I got to dance with Florita.

  

It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point with line dances and ballroom swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  This coming Thursday Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers. 

  Here's the plan for the next several weeks: 

Thursday December 12th 6-10pm, DJ Leo
Thursday December 19th 6-10pm, DJ Mel.  This will be the Thursday night Christmas party, with optional gift exchange (recommended gift value: at least $10).  It will be the 1st of 3 Holiday Dance Parties with complimentary snacks and probably prizes.
Thursday December 26th 6-10pm, DJ Leo.  2nd of 3 Holiday Dance Parties with complimentary snacks and probably prizes.
Thursday January  2nd  6-10pm, DJ Mel.  3rd of 3 Holiday Dance Parties with complimentary snacks and probably prizes.

Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is the invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  There are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
