Christmas Dance Party at Point Point This Thursday (Dec. 19, 2013)

Hello Dancers,

   This coming Thursday December 19th will be a great Christmas Dance Party from 6 to 10PM at Point Point Joint Restaurant.  You are invited to attend and enjoy Point Point's $10 dinner special which includes a soft drink.  Special events include an Ugliest Christmas Sweater Contest with prize, complementary snacks in Point Point's upper level, and an optional gift exchange using $10 minimum gifts.  (More details below.)

   The dance party last Thursday (December 12th) at Point Point had close to 30 dancers enjoying the dance music of DJ Leo.    Photo Highlights from December 10th and 12th:    (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):

On Tuesday night, December 10th, Nina's line dancers (nine in the above photo) practiced about 15 line dances, especially "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree", "Caballero" and "Mambo Italiano".  This Tuesday (Dec. 17. 2013) is a Christmas line dancing party.  Then, there will be two weeks off, resuming Tuesday night line dancing in the New Year, on January 7, 2014.  

On to Thursday night's party (December 12th).  Bert Alota was dancing a night club 2-step with Suzanne. 

Across the floor Florita and Ping were enjoying the same night club 2-step dance.

Ruben was a busy dancer on Thursday.  Here he's dancing with Cecile to "Sometimes When We Touch".

Later in the evening, we had the "Rumba Samba Mambo" line dance.  Here we see Ruben trying to decipher the steps.

At closing time Mona and Ruben were dancing to "Goodnight My Love". 

It's not often that you meet identical twins.  But, on Thursday we did.  Here we see Lita surrounded by identical twins Nedy and Geny.



It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point with line dances and ballroom swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  This coming Thursday Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers. 

  Here's the plan for the next several weeks: 

Thursday December 19th 6-10pm, DJ Mel.  This will be the Thursday night Christmas party, with an Ugliest Christmas Sweater Contest, and an optional gift exchange (recommended gift value: at least $10).  It will be the 1st of 3 Holiday Dance Parties with complimentary snacks and probably prizes.

Thursday December 26th 6-10pm, DJ Leo.  2nd of 3 Holiday Dance Parties with complimentary snacks and probably prizes.

Thursday January  2nd  6-10pm, DJ Mel.  3rd of 3 Holiday Dance Parties with complimentary snacks and probably prizes.

Thursday January 9th, 6-10pm, DJ Leo

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is the invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  There are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
