Hello Dancers,
This Thursday (October 24th) will be another great Dance Party from 6 to 10PM at Point Point Joint Restaurant (details below).
Last Thursday (October 17th) about 40 dancers showed up at Point Point to enjoy another dance with music by DJ Leo.
Photo Highlights from October 17th: (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):
Early in the night, DJ Leo played one of my all-time favorites - from the early 80's it was "Hands Up", a great Manila swing (4-count hustle) tempo. I got lucky and got to dance it with Sally.
The very next song was a great cha cha. Bert A danced it with Mona.
Later on, I spotted Ping dancing with Cecile to "Vayamos Companeros". I think it's a cha cha.
Lita and Florita did a very nice tango dance.
Well, the "Blurred Lines" Point Point version has eclipsed "Caballero" as the most popular line dance in Point Point. They danced it twice on Thursday. Here we see Vilma and Edith in front.
By and by, Rima dropped in and here we see her dancing a bachata with Ernie.
It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point with line dances and ballroom swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more. Once again this coming Thursday Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.
Here's the plan for the next few weeks:
Thursday October 24th 6-10pm, DJ Mel
Thursday October 31st 6-10pm, Halloween Costume Dance Party with DJ Leo. This Halloween Costume Dance Party will also include complimentary snacks.
Thursday November 7th 6-10pm, DJ Mel
Thursday November 14th 6-10pm, DJ Leo
Thursday November 21st 6-10pm, DJ Mel
Thursday November 28th - No dance, it's THANKSGIVING
See you on the dance floor,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is the invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego. There are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
