Hello Dancers,
This Thursday (October 17th) will be another great Dance Party from 6 to 10PM at Point Point Joint Restaurant (details below).
Last Thursday (October 10th) about 25 dancers showed up at Point Point to enjoy another dance - again in very pleasant weather - with music by DJ Mel. Some dancers I had not seen in about a year and one first-timer: Lulu.
Photo Highlights from October 10th: (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):
About 9pm DJ Mel played an Elvis favorite of mine from high school days, "Paralyzed". Here we see Bert A dancing the boogie with Cecile.
Meanwhile Esther and Gino were also dancing the boogie to "Paralyzed".
At the same time, so were Edith R and Fred.
A few minutes later, Mark ventured onto the floor and danced a cumbia with Cecile. I almost fell over trying to get the picture.
Meanwhile, Cheryl and Fred were dancing to the same cumbia.
Here we see DJ Mel behind his new amplifier.
It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point with line dances and ballroom swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more. Once again this coming Thursday Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.
Here's the plan for the next few weeks:
Thursday October 17th 6-10pm, DJ Leo
Thursday October 24th 6-10pm, DJ Mel
Thursday October 31st 6-10pm, Halloween Costume Dance Party with DJ Leo. This Halloween Costume Dance Party will also include complimentary snacks.
See you on the dance floor,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is the invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego. Every Thursday there are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
