There'll be snacks and beverages. A $5 donation will be requested. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation. Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Bing will play line dances 6pm-7pm, followed by mixed ballroom and line dancing until 10pm. DIRECTIONS: Take the H Street east to Eastlake Drive. Go right one block, then right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into parking lot - the Clubhouse is behind the the gated fence. THURSDAY JULY 7, 2016, SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT at Eastlake I Clubhouse:
FOOD. Wow! Was there ever a lot! Above, Myrna & Maria are in front, with Gilda, Edith, Neriza and Nedy right behind them, all lined up for food. Nick & Eden brought lots of taco salad; Beth brought puto bumbong; Susie brought pancit; Royce & Maria brought Hawaiian meat balls; Nene brought rice crispies dessert; and there was a lot more.
LOVELY LADIES BY THE LAKE. There were multiple photo sessions by the lake. Above was one, with Nedy, Myrna, Daisy, Nina, Eden & Nene, all in their Animal Prints outfits.
BALLROOM. There were lots of line dances, but we guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Nene and Mel(not DJ Mel, but the other Mel) were dancing to a rumba. I think Mel with his shirt & tie was the night's safari manager.
SAFARI SUNSET. Above, Nick and Eden were dancing to a boogie or something at sunset.
AFRICA BOOM BOOM. LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm-7pm, then periodically until 10pm. Above, dancing in the front line to an appropriate line dance for Safari Night, "Africa Boom Boom", it was Nedy and Beth.
ANIMAL PRINTS WINNERS.Nick & Eden won the Best Couple prize, and Nene won Best Single prize. Judges had tough choices for the rest - the ladies all looked good. Myrna, Josie and Romy won prizes.
WAIT! Rima & Jamila & Joel, above, came in during the awards ceremony. Judges scampered to give them a prize, too, for their matching outfits.

LADIES IN RED. LINE DANCING was was non-stop from 6pm-7pm, then periodically until 10pm. Above, in the front line for "Muerdeme" were four ladies in red: Emelie, Edith, Myrna and Estrelle. In the 2nd line it was Lou and Nitz. Later, Emelie and Edith were judges for the Best Attire contest, and Lou was one of the winners.
BALLROOM. We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Nitz and Sonny were dancing to the bachata "Loco".
RED,WHITE& BLUE. Above, Neriza was dancing with Tito to "Bailando". Tito was one of the Best Attire winners.
BOOGIE. Above, Eden and DJ Jun Ancho were dancing to "Love Shack". Eden and Nick had brought FOOD - dinuguan. Tito and Gloria had brought fried rice. Also, there were hot dogs, canned peaches for dessert, and lots more food.
RED,WHITE& BLUEWINNERS. Gloria & Tito (in big hats) won the Grand Prize. Elma & Lito won a Couples Prize. Individual Best Attire winners were Jamila, Dolores, Lou and Nick.
DR. NATALIE MEDINA and some staff set up a free testing station in the next room to measure blood pressure, pulse, BMI and oxygen levels of the dancers. Many, including me got tested. Dr. Medina's office is at 502 S. Euclid Avenue in National City, where she treats patients and where the office speaks English, Spanish and Tagalog. ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT 2015:

THREE WINNERS.Dolores and Nedy later won prizes for best dress, and Eva later won a best couple prize with Dwayne.

MARILYN and ROMY won the top couple's prize. Also, if I got the story right, recently Marilyn became the Mrs Philippines of San Diego's FilAm Unity Group of CA. Congratulations Marilyn!
