THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (AUGUST 20, 2015):
There were lots of line dances, including non-stop from 6 to 7pm, as usual. Above, line dancers enjoyed a new one, "Fly Like A Bird", with Nora and Edith in front.
We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Robert and Gloria enjoyed dancing the rumba "Ballerina Girl".
Above, a few minutes later Ruben (who was one of the very energetic guy-dancers of the night) enjoyed dancing with Dolores to the rumba-tempo "As Long As You Love Me".
We welcomed Sally back to Thursday night at Point Point Joint. She'd been away for most of a year. Above, she was dancing to the salsa "Acabo De Llegar" with another very energetic dancer, Joe.
And, Joy was there. I cannot remember how long since she'd been to Point Point. Above she was dancing with Mel to the bachata or cha cha "Cuando Me Enamoro".
Above, I got to dance with the cheerful Edith R to a great salsa, "Mi Bom Bon".
Line dancers looked good till the end of the night. Above Medy and my Edith were in front on "Uptown Funk".
Very late, 21 dancers got together for a group photo. It'll be one last fun dance party again this Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more. THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (AUGUST 13, 2015):
There were lots of line dances, including non-stop from 6 to 7pm, as usual. It was the warmest Thursday night of the year so far. Nevertheless, line dancers enjoyed dances like the long-running favorite above, "Blurred Lines", with Nora and Elsie in front.
We guys preferred the ballroom dances. Marcela was back, dancing above with Ruben to a rumba.
Above, dancing to the salsa "Ave Maria Lola", it was Robert with his wife Marylou.
Elsie and Ping enjoyed dancing to the boogie "Jailhouse Rock" in the photo above.
"Bachata Risma" seems to have been the favorite line dance lately. Above, Edith and Gloria were in front dancing to it.
Ping brought several friends in for their first-time at Thursday night at Point Point Joint. In the photo above, those friends surround him, while line dancers enjoyed "Runaway".
Line dancers looked good till the end of the night. Above Eden and Elsie were in front on "More Than A Woman", one of the relatively new Thursday night line dances.

There were plenty of line dances, including non-stop from 6 to 7pm. Above, energetic early birds danced to a relatively new one, "Ballo Con La Luna" with Nora and Elsie in front.
We guys preferred the ballroom dances, like one of my favorites, "You Never Can Tell" boogie. Above, Dolores and Tito danced to it.
At the same time, there was a rare sight: Nina was a ballroom DI showing first-timer Robert how to boogie.
"Bachata Risma" line dance always packs the floor. I saw Dolores, Gloria, Medy and Lou dancing it in the photo above.
A few minutes later I saw Suzanne enjoying dancing the rumba "Cada Vez" with Bert Alota.
Everyone was energetically enthusiastic through the very last dance. In the photo above, Nina, Gloria and Dolores were in front making a turn while dancing to "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" just past 10pm.

As usual, there were plenty of line dances, including non-stop from 6 to 7pm. Above, it was the delightful "Somethin Stupid" with Nora and Marie in front.
Of course, we guys preferred the ballroom dances. We gave a big "welcome back to Point Point" greeting to Mel (not the DJ, but the lady), whose previous Thursday night at Point Point was over a year ago. Above, she was dancing with Gino to the hustle "TSOP".
And, Rima and Ruben enjoyed dancing to the merengue "Linda Eh".
A highlight of the night was a birthday party for Tito. Above he's blowing out the candles on the birthday cake while he was surrounded by some of his admirers.
A little later Elsie and Ping looked very happy dancing to the bachata "Calma - No Me Entendio".
And, then Ly and the busy Ruben shared the floor with line dancers, while they enjoyed dancing the hustle or Manila Swing to "Uptown Funk".
Speaking of line dancers, the longtime favorite "Cupid Shuffle" had the dancers dancing even at closing time. Ly, Edith and Elsie were in front on the photo above.

Hi Dancers, We'll party again this Thursday night at Point Point Joint, July 30, 2015. The fabulous DJ Mel Zaragoza will be playing swing, cha cha, rumba, and much more - and of course - LINE DANCING - which has been non-stop from 6-7pm lately. This is your invitation to join the party from 6pm until 10pm at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City. Wow!! Last Thursday July 23, 2015, was an incredible HAWAIIAN NIGHT with 75 dancers partying with DJ Bing Villafuerte! There were lots of complementary snacks and chicharon. Coping with camera problems, we got the fourteen photos below to tell part of a very busy story. (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):
THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (HAWAIIAN NIGHT, JULY 23, 2015):
There were many line dances, including non-stop from 6 to 7pm. Above, it was "Bachata Risma" with Heidi, Nene and Lou in front. And Romy in white singing along to "borracho y loco" and "te amo siempre".
Ly & Jerry also looked good also dancing to the cumbia.
Romy Maraya and Eva (in front above) had the best Hawaiian attire. Romy, backed by a bevy of beauties, put on a great HAWAIIAN NIGHT show with songs like "Igiling Giling" and "Let's Groove Tonight".
The samba "Bailando" got several dancers up, including Ping and Elsie above.
There were many first-timers, including Rosie who danced above with Lito.
At the same time, DJ Nickie and Reyllen were also dancing to the samba "Bailando".
Lulu and Esta, dancing stars of the RMX Dance Group, performed a very nice dance for us. Esta and Lulu brought some other RMX dancers to Point Point for the first time. Esta was another Hawaiian attire prize winner.
We celebrated Lydia's birthday. Lydia, the owner-manager of Point Point Joint, is looking forward to retirement in about a month.
The last 30 minutes were busy. Line dances included "Carinito" above, with Ping and Nora in front.
Above, Nina announced Cely as the WINNER of a MICROWAVE OVEN donated by Nick Enriquez! Cely was one of two winning raffle ticket holders of those who bought Point Point's $10 dinner special.
Nick and Eden also donated the Grand Prize, a MINI REFRIGERATOR, won by Esther(Esther's in the green & pink dress)! Someone called Esther back to Point Point after her raffle ticket was drawn as the winning ticket.
The ladies' enthusiasm was at full volume as they sang along to the he-did-her-wrong song "Bakit Pa". Just after the photo was snapped, DJ Bing brought over microphones so everyone could hear their voices.
After closing time, most of the lingering HAWAIIAN NIGHT dancers huddled for a group photo. It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more. For this week's Dance Party on Thursday (July 30, 2015), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual will offer their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers. THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (JULY 16, 2015):
The many line dances, including non-stop from 6 to 7pm, delighted the ladies, including "Carinito" above, with Lou, Edith, Medy and Nora in front.
Early in the evening, a surprise VIP 1st-timer, the Deputy Mayor of National City, Jerry Cano stopped by, enjoyed the Point Point dinner, and he danced many of the line dances. We had to get a group photo with him. Deputy Mayor Cano is in the brown shirt between Bert Andrade and Nina.
Of course we guys favored the ballroom dances. Above it was Dolores and Carlos enjoying a rumba called "Historia de un Amor".
A while later, Ruben and Lou had fun dancing to another rumba called "Sin Ti".
When I saw Marilyn and Rima in attractive yellow and coral-colored attire, I had to get a photo of them.
There were some 1st-timers at Thursday night at Point Point Joint, and I was fortunate enough to get to dance a rumba with Marcela.
The ladies' energy was boundless. It kept building right up until closing time when Nickie played "Let's Twist Again". These ladies had spirit!
