NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday May 21, 2026

Hello Dancers,  
    Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday May 21st, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week.  BUT, be sure to come to the ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY on May 28, 2026, especially if you have some animal prints attire.


  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A MAY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, May 14, 2026, with DJ Bing Villafuerte.  The party was in Lola Happy Bistro, on a mild and dry night.  There were 55 in attendance thanks in part to 7 first-timers.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebooks:

  UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Mary Jane, and first-timers Evelyn, Alice and Liza in the photo above.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers performed the energetic line dance "My Life Is a Dance" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frq3o1g-Eb8 ).   In front facing the stage were Gody, Faith and Roland. Behind them (near the audience) were Irish, Mary Jane and Lolit.

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Joel and Rima were dancing what I think was a night club 2-step.

 

 

  THE CAKE.  Lola Happy Bistro provided another delicious chocolate layer cake for the Birthday Party.  It had a cream filling.

 

 

  BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS -- Edith, Lita (a first-timer), Mary Jane, Aida, Liza and May with birthdays in May, posed for the photo above.  Celebrants Rei and Willy stood on the stage.  Neriza was celebrating her May birthday, too, just out of camera range.

Thursday, June 25, 2026:  JUNE BIRTHDAYS NIGHT DANCE PARTY for all June birthday celebrants, at Lola Happy Bistro celebration, at 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://www.facebook.com/lolahappybistro  (619) 434-7371).  Cake and ice cream.  Roses for birthday ladies. 6pm - 9:30pm.  DJ Nickie Bascos.



 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

Other Notes: (1) This is where Filipino-American dance clubs go for dancing on Thursday nights in San Diego and National City -- a Thursday night dance at Lola Happy Bistro in National City, with ballroom, Filipino dances, cha cha cha dancing, swing dancing and line dancing on a Thursday night in San Diego.  While the dancing and music will be non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free one-on-one ballroom and line dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
