NO DANCE PARTY at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday March 26, 2026

Hello Dancers,  
  Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday March 26th at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week.  So, come to the Flower Prints Night Party on April 2nd, especially if you have some flower printed attire. 

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with some regular customers.

A ST. PATRICK's DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, March 19, 2026, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a mild and dry night. There were over 50 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, all were copied from Facebooks.

  

 

  GROUP PHOTO.  Dancers posed for the photo above early in the evening, most in St. Patrick's party night attire.  

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In Ned's selfie above, Sally and Noli danced what appears to be a night club 2-step.

 

 

  UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Connie, Mayeth, Faith and Sally, all in St. Patrick's party attire, in the photo above.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers, in St. Patrick's party night attire, performed a new line dance called "ZIGGY" line dance ("I Wanna Dance With Somebody") ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gZ7Eqk-LIE ).  In the front line (by the audience) were Mary Jane, Irish and Lolit.  In the middle line it was Remy, Geraldine, Grace and Mayeth (partially hidden). In line by the stage it was Eva, Roland and Faith.  

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES in St. Patrick's party attire posed for the photo above.  They were DJ Nickie & Aurea, Joel & Rima, Remy & Chris, Irish & Roland, and Nora & Joe.  Ric & Connie, Romi & Geraldine, Robert & Rose (first timers), and Eva & Dwayne were also winners, but were not in this photo. Along with Edith as Chief Judge, Estrelle and Josie donated prizes.  Lydia and Josie handed out prizes. 

 WINNING SINGLES in St. Patrick's party attire posed for the photo above.  In this photo we see Beth, first-timer Irene, Luz, Teresa, Penny, Evelyn, Hermie, Karina, Minda, Nedy, Lolit, Mary Jane, Grace, Annie, Mayeth, Faith, Liz, May and Estrelle.  Leo was also a winner, but not in this photo.

Thursday, April 16, 2026:  APRIL BIRTHDAYS NIGHT DANCE PARTY for all April celebrants, at 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://www.facebook.com/lolahappybistro  (619) 434-7371)).  Cake and ice cream.  Roses for birthday ladies.  6pm - 9:30pm.  DJ Nickie Bascos


 It's a fun dance party on many Thursday nights, with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

Other Notes: (1) This is where Filipino dance clubs go on a Thursday night in San Diego -- Lola Happy Bistro dancing in National City, with ballroom and line dances, Filipino dances, cha cha cha dancing and swing dancing on a Thursday night in San Diego.  While the dancing and music will be non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free one-on-one ballroom and line dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
