NO DANCE PARTY on Thursday March 6, 2025

Hello Dancers,  

 Sorry, but there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE this coming Thursday March 6th.  Thursday night dance parties resume on March 13th at Lola Happy Bistro, National City.

A MARDI GRAS NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at NOVO, Imperial Beach, this past Thursday, February 27, 2025, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on our 1st Thursday since leaving Eastlake, on a mild and dry night.  There were almost 40 in attendance, thanks in part to 6 first-timers.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, many copied from Facebook posts:

 BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, first-timer Marilinda and Ruben enjoyed a swing dance to "Old Time Rock & Roll" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXwF7g5wksQ ).

 

 LINE DANCING was a favorite, too.  In the photo above, Roland taught dancers the "Take Me To The Mardi Gras" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mto_aor_d2E ).  Along with Roland in the front line were Josie and Geraldine.

 

 

 WINNING COUPLES in Mardi Gras Night attire posed for the photo above.  They were Dwayne & Eva, Sami & Houda, Chris & Remy, Romi & Geraldine, Roland & Irish, Ver & Ditas (hidden), and Aurea & DJ Nickie.  Josie was a prize donor.

 

 

 WINNING SINGLES (well, 10 of them) in Mardi Gras Night attire posed for the selfie above.  In this photo we see Aida, May, Mary Jane, Lolit, first-timer Marilinda, first-timer Beth, Nora, Hector, first-timer Mila, and first-timer Raquel. First-timer Dee was also a winner but was not in this photo.

 Thursday, March 13, 2025: ST. PATRICKS and MARCH BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ). (Thanks to Angie Nola for securing this location.)  St. Patricks Day-attired winners vie for prizes.  Roses for birthday ladies. Balloons. DJ Nickie Bascos.


Beyond that, nothing is scheduled.


 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These have been really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  While the dancing and music have been non-stop, there have dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
