DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday January 4, 2024

Hello Dancers,  

 Happy New Year.!!!  You are invited to the first DANCE PARTY of the year, this Thursday January 4, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The great DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  Another cool and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A NEW YEAR'S MASQUERADE DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, December 28th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a cool but dry night.  There were over 40 in attendance.  There was a lot energetic dancing. Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Most were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Beth gave a blessing for the food, thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on with ballroom dances until 10PM.  And, there were some SPECIAL NUMBERS, like in the photo above.  The Eastlake Dancers performed a line dance from Christmas called "Happy Jingle Bell" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVL89ZWT5dg ).  You can see May in front, with Annie, Jhosie and Roland in the next line.

 

 

  DANCING TO "YMCA" is always joyful ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8cM0xiLWmM ), and loud, especially for the "Y" that the dancers were doing in the photo above.

 

 

 

BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  In the photo above, Gemma and Joe were enjoying the rumba Sabor A Mi ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNo-d6Y6w8Y ).

 

 

 WINNING COUPLES in masquerade attire posed for the photo above.  They were Jhosie & Edwin, DJ Bing & Janet, Faye & John, Connie & Ric, Irish & Roland, Lolit & Michael, Aida & Pete, and Geraldine & Romi.  Some prizes were donated by Geraldine. Lydia & Rei handed out the prizes.

 

 

 

WINNING SINGLES in masquerade attire costumes posed in the photo above.  They were May, Nida, Annie (behind Nida), Susie, Mary Jane, Manny, Beth, Gemma, Estrelle, Alice and Eva.  Isabel was also a winner, but she was not in this photo.

Thursday, January 25, 2024: 70's DISCO DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. 70's Disco-costumed winners vie for prizes. DJ Nickie Bascos.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
