DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday September 14, 2023

Hello Dancers,  

    You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this Thursday September 14, 2023, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The great DJ Nickie Bascos will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  Dry and mild weather is currently forecast for Thursday night, again.  

 DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, September 7th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a warm-weather night.  There were almost 40 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers, and some VIP dancers from North County.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's dance party, mostly copied from Facebooks:

 

 

 BY THE LAKE.  Early in the evening there were people posing by Eastlake. In the photo above you see first-timer Amor, Ditas, Emelie, Mona, Irish, Nora, Geraldine and Sheila posing.

 

 

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, thankfulness for bringing us all together. 

 

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In the photo above, you can see Geraldine in front, followed by Eden and Lolit in the second line, more or less.

 

 

 

 SPECIAL NUMBER BY EASTLAKE DANCERS Lolit, Roland and Irish entertained everyone.  They danced to "Keep This Fire Burning" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2z4Tgukf4U ).

 

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was plentiful during the night.  In Nedy's selfie above we see birthday celebrant Eden dancing with Jun to what appears to be a night club 2-step.

 

 

 

BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS Eden and Myra (Veronica), who both have September birthdays, posed in front of 3 birthday cakes, along with Edith, who greeted Eden and Myra, and she summarized the history of this Thursday night dancing association, and gave a tribute to Nina Anson who has a September birthday but lives in Northern California after being the Thursday night Director of Finance for many years.

  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
