CARIBBEAN HATS & SHORTS & BEACH PARTY DANCE at Eastlake Thursday August 24, 2023

Hello Dancers,  

    You are invited to a CARIBBEAN HATS & SHORTS & BEACH PARTY DANCE this Thursday August 24, 2023, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages.  Costumed winners vie for prizes.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The marvelous DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast for Thursday night, in spite of all the rain tonight.  

 DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, August 17th, with DJ Bing Villafuerts, on a warm-weather night.  There were over 30 in attendance.  Here are 5 photos - some were copied from posts on Facebook from last Thursday, PLUS 2 photos from 2022's Caribbean Night:

 

 BY THE LAKE.  Early in the evening there were people posing by Eastlake. In the photo above you see Pat, Nedy, Nora, Edith, Janet, Estrelle, Faye, John and Annie.

 

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, thankfulness for bringing us all together. 

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was plentiful during the night.  In one of Nedy's selfies the photo above shows first-timers Greg and Edna dancing to what may have been a cha cha.

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In the photo above, you can see Rossana, Edith, Sheila and Roland in the front line, more or less, dancing to a current favorite,  "Flowers" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Iz74SJVZ7Q ).

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING continued off & on all night.  And in the photo above, Huda & Sami were dancing to a swing or cha cha.

  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
