   Sorry, but there will be NO DANCE this Thursday June 15th at Eastlake.  Another group reserved the Clubhouse.  But, please come dancing the following Thursday, June 22nd for another great dance party.

 DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A FILIPINO NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake last Thursday, June 8th, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a nice-weather night.  There were 55 dancers in attendance.  Here are some photos, most were copied from Facebooks:

 

 

 BY THE LAKE.  Early in the evening there were people posing by Eastlake. Let's see if I can name them all. In the photo above you see Susie, Irish, Lolit, Geraldine, Rossana, Lydia, Gemma, Nedy, Nora, Nida, Connie and May posing by Eastlake.

 

 

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers, many in their Filipino Night attire, posed for the group photo above. Beth gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off and on until 10PM.  In one of Nedy's selfies above, Eden and Nida were in the front line, more or less, with line dancers.  "Roll It" line dance favorite was played twice, but I think this was another favorite called "Flowers" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Iz74SJVZ7Q ).

 

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was plentiful, including a special number sung by Romy in another of Nedy's selfies above.  While Romy sang "Pretty Young Girl" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-eMnHTAjdk ), a manila swing dance, dancers like Annie and Edna enjoyed dancing.

 

 

 

 BEST FILIPINO NIGHT ATTIRE WINNERS (COUPLES) posed for the photo above.  They were Daris & Victoria, John & Faye, DJ Nickie & Aurea, Irish & Roland, Lolit & Michael, Cindy & Chito, and Geraldine & Romy. DJ Bing & Janet were also winners but they were not in this photo.     Josie helped Edith with the prizes.

Thursday, June 29, 2023:  RED, WHITE & BLUE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake, 6pm-10pm at the Eastlake Shores Beach Clubhouse, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista CA 91913. Prizes for best Red, White & Blue attire.  DJ Bing Villafuerte.

  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
