Ryan Cayabyab Singers to be at Eastlake This Thursday June 29th

Hello Dancers,

  Besides RED WHITE & BLUE NIGHT Dance Party, the Ryan Cayabyab Singers are to be at the party, according to Susan at Filipino Press.  Come to Eastlake, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, this Thursday evening, sometime between 6 - 10pm, so you should not miss their visit.  The Singers are on tour from the Philippines, and they have a concert at the Sycuan Casino just east of El Cajon on Sunday July 2nd, per the poster copied below.

Mr. Ryan Cayabyab is the organizer of the Singers, and he has a list of accomplishments that is way to long for me to list.  The Singers themselves have many YouTube videos, including this Mini Portfolio and individual songs like Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling Ka and Kahit Ika'y Panaginip Lang.

This should be interesting, so try to come. You will have fun.

RED WHITE & BLUE NIGHT Dance Party in EASTLAKE This Thursday June 29, 2017

Hello Dancers,  

  Let's dance before the 3-day July 4th weekend, with a RED WHITE & BLUE NIGHT dance party this Thursday night June 29th at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food and beverages. And, prizes for best attire. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share.  The miraculous DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

THURSDAY JUNE 22, 2017, CARIBBEAN NIGHT & HAT CONTEST DANCE PARTY at Eastlake:

FOOD LINE.  Above, Nina gave a blessing for the food. Here's a "Thank You", and some credits. Rei and Belen brought fruit. Romi brought yela cake. Nedy brought arroz caldo. Nick & Eden brought macaroni soup and maja blanca. Jake brought leche flan. Madaline brought salad. And, there was more.

BY THE LAKE was a favorite place for photos.  Above, Neriza, Geraldine, Edith, Nene and Nedy posed with their hats.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Take Me Away" line dance, it was Edith and Belen more-or-less alone in the front line.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Neriza and Mel danced to "All Of Me". 

ALL OF ME.  Above, Geraldine and Romi danced the swing or hustle "All Of Me".

SELFIES, hundreds of them, included this one of Nedy, Nene, first-timer Ana and Madeline.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Take Me Away" line dance, it was Edith more-or-less alone in the front line, with Rei and Belen behind her. 

CONGRATULATIONS to newlyweds Nick and Eden, on their second week back at Eastlake after Nick's recovery from a broken arm. 

THE RING. Well, I don't know if it is "THE" ring, but I spotted Eden's hand later in the night and snapped this photo.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, first-timer Misha danced to "Funkytown" with Bert Alota.

FUN DANCING. I got to dance the swing or hustle "No Limit" with first-timers Estrelle and Claudia, and Myrna, Romy and Neriza joined in.

Elma brought pizza and a Red Ribbon birthday cake.   Rima brought macaroni salad. Ralph brought pancit. Romy & Marilyn brought a box of avocados, which were gone in 60 seconds. Bert Alota brought papaya. And, there was more.

LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Bachata Risma" line dance, it was Nedy and Belen in the front line.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Romi and Geraldine danced to "Ang Ganda Ganda Mo".

TANGO.  Above, Bert Alota and Neriza danced to "Tango De Milo".

SELFIES were being taken all night.  The photo above was one of the cute ones, featuring Eva, Nedy and Angel.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  Above, there were four June birthday celebrants, preparing to cut the cake, Elma, Lito, Rima and Vicky, while Nedy congratulated them.  

SERENADE.  Romy sang "You Look Wonderful Tonight" to Elma.

FILIPINO ATTIRE WINNERS.  All eleven winners lined up while judges Ruben, Rei and Belen handed out prizes, in the photo above. 

CLOSING TIME came and went, and whoever was left gathered for the above group photo, with Josie, Belen, and Rima in front.

  There'll be lots of fun, frolic, dancing, snacks and beverages. Roses & balloons for celebrants. LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6 to 7pm, and off & on the rest of the night.  Above, dancing to "Vivo Di Notte" line dance, it was Marly, Myrna & Elma in the front line.

BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred the ballroom dances.  Above, Nene and Jake danced to the cumbia "El De Los Ojos Negros".  

HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  Above, Elma held a delicious mango birthday cake from Red Ribbon on her birthday, while friends congratulated and sang to her. 
  FOOD (lots ! ): Elma and Marly also treated dancers to a sushi platter and fried chicken.  DJ Mel brought pancit bihon.  Jake brought cookies, Lou brought snacks, and there was pizza and noodles with vegetables.
