FILIPINO NIGHT at Point Point Joint this Thursday June 11, 2015

OK Party People,
  Let's celebrate or commemorate Philippine Independence Day with a Filipino Night Dance Party this Thursday night at Point Point Joint, June 11, 2015.  

There will be complementary snacks and a Prize or two for the best Filipino outfit(s).  So, dig out whatever traditional or non-traditional Filipino clothing you have.  This is Your Invitation to join the party.  The spectacular DJ Bing will be playing swing, cha cha, rumba, and much more - and of course - LINE DANCING - which has been non-stop from 6-7pm lately.  Point Point will offer us dancers their delicious $10 dinner special which includes a soft drink.  (More details below.).  So come on over - Party time:  from 6pm until 10pm at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City.

THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (JUNE 4, 2015):

Lots of line dancing as usual.  Above they packed the floor for "Runaway", a relatively new line dance.  Cely, Estrelle, Nina and DJ Bing were in front.

Maria and Royce were looking good dancing to the hustle "Night Fever".

Above, Marilyn and Romy were dancing a rumba.  Marilyn made the catchy red & white skirt she was wearing.

Salsa time - "Acabo De Llegar" - Tito danced with Edith, and Gloria danced with Ruben.

More line dancing late in the evening.  Two Ediths, Nita and Cely were in front on "Bachata Risma" while we sang along with "borracho y loco".


WINNERS AT 2014's FILIPINO NIGHT:

Last year Eva was the grand prize winner.  Mel & Nina also won.

Dante also won last year.

 It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.  For this week's Filipino Night Dance Party on Thursday (June 11, 2015), Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, as usual will offer their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.

Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego - they are private parties, and this is your invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego.  While the dancing is continuous, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
