Hello Dancers,
  "Jack Is Back" by The Clan has been getting a lot of dancers on the floor at Point Point lately.  I tried to get some info on the group and the song.




The Clan - Who are they?  I cannot tell.

The Clan (formerly The Barefoot Clan), started as a blues/psychedelic rock trio who later incorporated more hardcore punk and doom influences into their music. They don’t take themselves too seriously. 


They are based in Trivandrum, India and were formed in late 2009. Since formation the group has maintained the same line up.

This song takes so many different aspects of dance music -- big band, Latin, beebop, even a bit of rap -- and puts them together masterfully to make one of the most danceable Jive pieces I've heard. My suspicion is that "Jack Is Back" is a European studio recording, and may not include the band "The Clan", allegedly seen in the following psychedelic rock video.
