  You are invited to a RED WHITE & BLUE NIGHT DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro this coming Thursday July 3rd, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ), with the incredible DJ Bing Villafuerte.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, and food and beverages off the menu (don't bring any food or beverages - you are urged to buy a dinner, even if you just take it home). DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 9:30pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS NIGHT DANCE PARTY at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday May 29, 2025

Hello Dancers,  
  You are invited to a SAFARI & ANIMAL PRINTS DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro this coming Thursday May 29th at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ), with the adorable DJ Bing Villafuerte.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, and food and beverages off the menu (don't bring any food or beverages - you are urged to buy a dinner, even if you just take it home).  Safari or Animal Prints-attired dancers vie for prizes.  DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 9:30pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, May 22, 2025, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night.  There were 35 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers.  Here are 4 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebook posts:

  BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In Nedy's selfie above, Edith's granddaughter Tassja was dancing with her boyfriend Jason.  They were dancing what probably was a slow dance.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland was teaching one of the three line dances he taught on Thursday night.!!!  It was a line dance to the steps of "Diana" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YSJ_z8u5nE ).  Let's see. Lolit, Estrelle and Eva were in front, and Annie was behind them.

  ART WAS BACK this past Thursday night at the Bistro, which he frequented on Thursday night dances when Lola Happy Bistro was the Jestoni Bistro.  Way back in the year 2010, Art had gathered the email addresses of all the dancers in the Bistro at that time, and that was the start of this weekly emailed report.

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Joe was dipping Nedy while they were dancing what probably was a swing dance. LINE DANCES were very frequent, too, but we got no good photo of line dancers this time.
