JUNE BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday June 26, 2025

Hello Dancers,  
  You are invited to the JUNE BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY at Lola Happy Bistro this coming Thursday June 26th, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ), with the miraculous DJ Bing Villafuerte.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, and food and beverages off the menu (don't bring any food or beverages - you are urged to buy a dinner, even if you just take it home).  Cake and ice cream.  Roses for birthday ladies. Balloons. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 9:30pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, June 19, 2025, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a mild and dry night.  There were 30 in attendance.  Here are 4 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party:

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland was teaching the line dance "I'll Be Thinking of You" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LJi92H6pjM ).  In the front line it was Karina, Edith, Roland and Mona.

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Morris dipped Daisy while they danced the night club 2-step, "Something About The Way You Look Tonight" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B93Tir6l5FA ).

 It's a fun dance party many Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These have been really fun ballroom and line dance parties, and Filipino dances.  While the dancing and music have been non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
