NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday January 15, 2026

Hello Dancers,  
    Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday January 15th, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week.  BUT, be sure to come to the 70's DISCO DANCE PARTY on January 22, 2026, especially if you have some disco attire.

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A JANUARY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, January 8, 2026, with DJ Willie Paje for the 1st time in Lola Happy Bistro, on a cool and dry night.  There were almost 60 in attendance thanks in part to 12 Birthday celebrants (!!!) and 8 first-timers.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebooks:

  BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Ver and Josie were dancing what I think was the night club 2-step "Lady In Red" ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hy0pZ_JvL4k ).

 

 

  DJ WILLIE was the DJ at Lola Happy Bistro for the first time.  He came with great references, and he did a great job DJ'ing.  He is in the photo above with Nedy, Irish and Roland.

 

 

  UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Jhosie, Mayeth, and first timers Leony and May in the photo above.

 

 

 LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, in black and white, Roland's Inspiring Dancers performed the line dance "Girl In The Mirror" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AwUX1_zZ2Y ).   In front were Roland and Eva.  Behind them were Lolit, first timer May and Merely.  Behind them were Irish and Remy.

Thursday, January 22, 2026:  70's DISCO DANCE PARTY, especially if you have some 70's disco attire, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://www.facebook.com/lolahappybistro  (619) 434-7371)).  70's disco-attired dancers vie for prizes.  6pm - 9:30pm.  DJ Nickie Bascos.

Thursday, February 5, 2026:  FEBRUARY BIRTHDAYS NIGHT DANCE PARTY for all February celebrants at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://www.facebook.com/lolahappybistro  (619) 434-7371)).  Cake and ice cream.  Roses for birthday ladies. Balloons.  6pm - 9:30pm.

 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) This is where Filipino-Americans go dancing on a Thursday night in San Diego -- a dance at Lola Happy Bistro in National City, with ballroom and line dancing, Filipino dances, cha cha cha dancing and swing dancing on a Thursday night in San Diego.  While the dancing and music will be non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free one-on-one ballroom and line dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
