Hello Dancers,  

  You are invited to a MAY BIRTHDAYS DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday May 16, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the great DJ Bing Villafuerte. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages, and roses for birthday ladies and balloons. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation, especially if you have a birthday in May.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast, again.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

A DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, May 9th, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night.  There were almost 50 in attendance, thanks in part to 2 first-timers, and visiting V.I.P. dancers Bert and Lennie Velasco.  Here are 5 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party.  Some were copied from earlier Facebook posts:

 

  BY EASTLAKE, early in the evening, dancers posed.  Valerie, Nora, Melba, Edith, Rei, Janet and DJ Bing posed lakeside for the photo above.

 

 

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm to 7pm, and after the blessing for about 20 minutes, until ballroom and line dancing alternated until the end of the party.  In the photo above, some dancers from Bay Terraces/Tooma Senior Center performed a special line dance.  Lita and Irish were in front, with Fe, Myrna and Cesar behind them.

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was in abundance.  Dance instructors Bert Velasco and Florita performed an energetic boogie (east coast swing) to the music of "Kiss You All Over ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09BTOz95-Ck ), in the photo above.

Thursday, June 6, 2024:  NO DANCE.  Another Eastlake group reserved the clubhouse for that date.


  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
