NEW YEAR MASQUERADE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday December 30, 2021

Hello Dancers, 

   You are invited to a NEW YEAR MASQUERADE DANCE PARTY this Thursday December 30, 2021, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, beverages, and prizes for best Masquerade Ball attire. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The phenomenal DJ Mel Zaragoza will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.

  MASKS to prevent COVID spread?  Well, the homeowners association has requested mask-wearing to meet COVID coronavirus requirements. In order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, cough, or other cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

THE CHRISTMAS DANCE PARTY AT EASTLAKE was last Thursday, December 23rd, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, and almost 50 dancers braving the cool rainy night. Here are a few photos:

 BALLROOM DANCING.  We guys preferred ballroom dancing.  In the photo above VIPs Carmen and Morris Maraya were dancing to the nightclub 2-step "Yo Te Amo" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izGwDsrQ1eQ ). Morris is a well-known dance instructor in San Diego.

 

 

 

 LINE DANCING.  Line dancing was non-stop from 6pm - 7pm.  In the photo above, around 8pm the Eastlake and JIF Dancers performed a line dance to "Save the Last Dance for Me" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTlgdkzc2Z8 ). Ballroom dancing continued off & on until 10pm.

 

 

  COLD HEART line dance was sort of appropriate for the cold weather.  The "Bing and Roland Group" was dancing "Cold Heart" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1De2dpLmRas ) in the photo above, with Karina and Irish in the front line, more or less.

In 2019, before the pandemic, we had a New Year Masquerade dance party on December 26, 2019, and the dancers posed for the photo above. I suspect this year's masks will be bigger.

  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
