DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday September 30, 2021

 

  Hello Dancers,  

   You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this Thursday September 30, 2021, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The marvelous DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm. Come - for the 9th week back after being closed (mostly for the COVID coronavirus pandemic) for 17 months.

  MASKS to prevent COVID spread?  Well, the homeowners association has not issued any COVID coronavirus requirements. But, in order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, cough, or other cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

LAST WEEK'S ROARING 20s & FLAPPERS DANCE PARTY on THURSDAY September 23, 2021 at Eastlake:

 

 

BY THE LAKE, in the photo above, it was Mona, Irish, Edith, Estrelle and Connie by the shore of Eastlake early in the evening. 

 

 

 

LINE DANCING.  Line dancing was non-stop from 6pm - 7pm.  Edith and Edmund were in front in the photo above, more or less, dancing to the "Carinito" line dance ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwIkS7sMEeg ). 

 

 

 

POSE BEFORE FOOD TIME. Dancers posed for the photo above before eating. There were 50 dancers enjoying great food.
 

 

 

JANNETTE DANCED a choreographed roaring 20s dance to the music of Five Foot Two Eyes of Blue ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVjAmPl297Y ) in the photo above.  I checked - the song was #1 in 1926.  Jannette does a lot including being a dance instructor and choreographer.

 

 

 

DJ NICKIE & AUREA were dancing in the photo above, to a swing dance, I think.

  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is Filipino-American dancing in San Diego. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
