DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday August 19, 2021

Hello Dancers, 

   You are invited to a DANCE PARTY this Thursday August 19, 2021, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista. There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages. It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. The incredible DJ Bing Villafuerte will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  Come - for the 4th week back after being closed (mostly for the COVID coronavirus pandemic) for 17 months.

  MASKS to prevent COVID spread?  Well, the homeowners association has not issued any COVID coronavirus requirements. But, in order to have a healthy dance, please do not come in if you have a fever, cough, or other cold or flu symptoms.  Anyone can wear a mask who chooses. Everyone should bring a mask, just in case the requirements change at the last minute.

DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

ESTA BY THE LAKE.  Above, Esta, a visiting VIP from RMX Dancers, cooled off a little by the shore of Eastlake just past sunset. 

 

 

BORRACHO Y LOCO.  LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm - 7pm, and then off & on until closing time.  Above, Nedy, DJ Nickie and Aurora were in front, more or less, a little later in the night for the line dance Borracho Y Loco (the real name is "Lamento Boliviano", https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbmDOO18MVI ).

 

 

 

BALLROOM DANCING was favored by the guys.  Above, Joe & Nedy and Carmen & Faye, along with others, were dancing what appears to be a swing dance.

 

 

BIRTHDAY CELEBRANTS Pat and Aurora were getting ready to cut the cake, while everyone else sang "Happy Birthday" to them.  The delicious cake was  pistachio flavored and colored green for the summer, and was made by Myra (Veronica).  

 

 

DELILAH, a visiting VIP who is President of the Batanes Association of America, was dancing with DJ Nickie, probably to a swing dance.

  It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including cha cha, night club 2-step, rumba and much much more.

Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego.  While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
