This coming Thursday (August 29th) will be another great Dance Party from 6 to 10PM at Point Point Joint Restaurant (details below).
Last Thursday's dance (August 22nd) at Point Point had over 35 dancers as DJ Leo played a very lively mix of ballroom and line dances.
Photo Highlights from August 22nd: (Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):
We welcomed Bert Alota back again. Here he dipped Mona while dancing to "Blue Tango".
The newest line dance at Point Point is "Brand New Slide". It got a good reception.
We welcomed Peter who was back in town for a couple days. Here he is dancing the "Red Hot" boogie with Suzanne.
Around 8:30 DJ Leo played the "Ave Maria Lola" salsa and danced it with Rei.
Also dancing to "Ave Maria Lola" were Gino and Rosie.
Here we see Peter dancing a tango with Sally.
Near closing time, everyone got on the floor for the "Right Thing That We Do" waltz line dance.
On Friday night, Edith & I went to see the Dancesation at Infinity. Although mostly ballroom dancers, the folks there surprisingly did a very lively "Wobble" line dance.
It's a fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point with line dances and ballroom swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more. Once again this coming Thursday Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, offers their special price of $10 for 2-entree dinner plus drink for Thursday Night dancers.
Here's the plan for the next couple weeks:
Thursday August 29th 6-10pm, DJ Mel
Thursday September 5th 6-10pm, DJ Leo
See you on the dance floor,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) The Thursday night dance parties are private parties, and this is your invitation to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego. Every Thursday there are dancers who are happy to give free dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
