I wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS, if that's possible. Thursday evening dancing at Eastlake remains cancelled until further notice due to coronavirus, including next Thursday, December 24, 2020. I hope everybody remains healthy and avoids the flu and coronavirus.
The coronavirus epidemic statistics published for San Diego County got much worse over the past 3 weeks. The rate of new intensive care admissions was up to 6 per day, and the rate of deaths over the past three weeks shot up to 18 per day. In the past week vaccinations began for coronavirus in San Diego, and widespread availability is still expected in early 2021.
I'm now only sending these emails every 3 weeks.

Hello Dancers,
Thursday evening dancing at Eastlake remains cancelled until further notice due to coronavirus, including next Thursday, December 3, 2020. I hope everybody remains healthy and avoids the flu and coronavirus.
The coronavirus epidemic statistics published for San Diego County got somewhat worse over the past 3 weeks. The rate of new intensive care admissions was about 4 per day, and the rate of deaths over the past three weeks was also about 4 per day. According to the NY Times Coronavirus Vaccine Tracker, in the USA there are still 5 different vaccines in or completing Phase 3 trials, vaccinating 10's of thousands of volunteers, with widespread availability of some expected in early 2021.
I'm now only sending these emails every 3 weeks.

Thursday evening dancing at Eastlake remains cancelled until further notice due to coronavirus, including next Thursday, November 5, 2020. I hope everybody remains healthy and avoids the flu and coronavirus.
The coronavirus epidemic statistics published for San Diego County remained worrisome over the past few weeks. The rate of new intensive care admissions was about 3 per day, and the rate of deaths over the past two weeks was also about 3 per day. NO DANCE PARTIES at Eastlake Thursday September 17, 2020, and until further notice
Thursday evening dancing at Eastlake remains cancelled until further notice due to coronavirus, including next Thursday, September 17, 2020. I hope everybody remains healthy and avoids the flu and coronavirus.
The coronavirus epidemic statistics published for San Diego County showed a slight improvement over the past two weeks. The rate of new intensive care admissions improved to about 2 per day, while the rate of deaths over the past two weeks stayed about 4 per day. The good news is that about 12 different vaccines are being tested on tens of thousands of volunteers, and there is hope to identify successful vaccines by the end of 2020. Russia and China have 9 of the 12 vaccines. The AstraZeneca & Oxford University vaccine trial had a one-week delay when a vaccinated volunteer had a medical emergency of some sort.

Hello Dancers,
Thursday evening dancing at Eastlake remains cancelled until further notice, including next Thursday, August 20, 2020. I hope everybody remains healthy and avoids the flu and coronavirus.
The coronavirus epidemic statistics published for San Diego County continue to be not good. The "stay home" order began about 149 days ago. The rate of new intensive care admissions and the rate of deaths both improved over the past two weeks to about 4 per day. The good news is that about 5 different organizations have begun testing their different vaccines on tens of thousands of volunteers recently, and they hope to identify successful vaccines by the end of 2020. Russia and China made surprise announcements that they've approved vaccines for usage.

The coronavirus epidemic statistics published for San Diego County lately have been not good.. The "stay home" order began 114 days ago. The rate of discovery of new infections is still high. The rate of new intensive care admissions rose to 4 per day during the past 2 weeks, while the rate of deaths rose to about 4 per day.

The coronavirus epidemic statistics published for San Diego County have been going up & down since the "stay home" order of 100 days ago. Although the rate of discovery of new infections has risen almost 50% in the past few days, and the rate of hospitalizations has risen from 3 per day to 4 per day during the past month, the rate of deaths has dropped (i.e., improved) about 10%.

The coronavirus epidemic statistics published for San Diego County continue to be relatively constant since the "stay home" order of 72 days ago. One important improvement - the number of coronavirus patients put in intensive care per day in San Diego County has averaged 3 per day over the past 10 days. That's down from 5 per day from mid-April until early May.

One important improvement - the number of hospital admissions per day for coronavirus patients has improved. It seems to be about 50% fewer than the peak in early April.

California's "stay home" order seems to have slowed the rate of increase in new cases in San Diego County from 27% per day 2 weeks ago to 14% per day over the past week. Unfortunately, new cases in the County, averaged over the week, went up to 45 per day.

Well, the coronavirus situation got worse in the past 7 days. Thursday dancing at Eastlake remains cancelled until further notice, including this Thursday, March 26, 2020. I hope everybody remains healthy and avoids the flu and coronavirus.
Last Thursday night CA Governor Newsom issued a by-now well-known "stay home" order. Information on the state's coronavirus website almost, but not quite, gives dancers an exemption with this: "Can I still exercise? Yes. So long as you are maintaining a safe social distance of six feet from people who aren’t part of your household, it is ok to go outside for exercise, a walk or fresh air." Also the state's list of essential work lists 100's of exemptions from the "stay home" order.
