NO DANCE at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday June 18, 2026

Hello Dancers,  
   Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday June 18th at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, because we reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week.  So, come to the June Birthdays Dance Party on June 25th, especially if you have a birthday in June. 

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A FILIPINO NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, June 11, 2026, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night. There were 55 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebooks.

  UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Mayet, Marie, Jean and Lolit, in the photo above.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers, in performance attire,  performed a line dance called "Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko Line Dance" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=POK05EWZC9A ).  In this photo we see Jannette, Irish and Lolit near the audience.  Mary Jane, Geraldine, Fe and Faith were in the middle line.  GROOVE & GLAM PERFORMED, in the photo above, in performance attire. Groove & Glam is a relatively new dance group, and the audience appreciated seeing them again, performing a beautifully choreographed dance in Lola Happy Bistro.  In the line by the audience were Lolit, Mayet, Jean and Beverly. Marie, Faith, Analyn and Irish were nearer the stage.   BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Josie and Romy were dancing to what appears to be a night club 2-step.

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES in FILIPINO Night party attire posed for the photo above.  They were Eva and Dwayne, Cisco (a first-timer) and Maria, Ric and Connie, Rei and Mark, DJ Bing and Jannette, Roland and Irish, Fe and John, and Romi and Geraldine.  Rei and Josie donated prizes. 

 

 

  WINNING SINGLES in FILIPINO Night party attire posed for the photo above.  In this photo we see Minda, Luz, Beverly, Analyn, Lolit, Gody, Faith, Nedy, Beth, Jean, Marie, Mayet and Mary Jane.  Annie, Neriza, Edna, Estrelle, amd Alice were also winners, but not in this photo.

 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

Other Notes: (1) This is where Filipino-American dance groups go for a Thursday night dance in the San Diego area -- a Thursday dance at Lola Happy Bistro - a Thursday night dance in National City, with ballroom and line dances, Filipino dances, cha cha cha dancing and swing dancing on a Thursday night in San Diego.  While the dancing and music will be non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free one-on-one ballroom and line dance lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
