NO DANCE PARTY at LOLA HAPPY BISTRO Thursday September 4, 2025

Hello Dancers,  
  Well, there will be NO THURSDAY NIGHT DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday September 4th, at Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ), because we  reduced the schedule to have dances only for special events, usually every other week.  So, come to the September Birthdays Party on September 11th, especially if you have a birthday in September. 

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with some regular customers.

 A CARIBBEAN HOLIDAY HATS & SHORTS DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, August 28, 2025, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a warm and dry night.  There were 45 in attendance, thanks in part to 5 first-timers.  There were also about 30 people in Lola Happy Bistro, with the Jesus Divine Light group affiliated with St. Mary church, and they were having birthday party.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, all were copied from Facebooks:

 BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, DJ Bing and Janet were dancing what appears to be a night club 2-step dance.  

 

 

  UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Sol, Merely, Lolit, and 1st-timer Merin in the photo above.

 

 

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers performed "Wanna Be With You" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l56ZwSr31Po ).  In the front line, more or less, were Sol, Roland and Eva (slightly off-screen).  Behind them were Irish, Lolit and Merely.

 

 

 "THE FRIENDS" PERFORMED.  In the photo above "The Friends" were dancing another line dance choreographed by Angie.  This line dance was to the song "Rabiosa" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqdFnKcmOHk ).  In the front line, more or less, were Josie, Nedy and Beth.  Behind them were Connie, Angie and Sheila (partially hidden).

 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 9:30pm.  Caribbean-attired (men: printed shirts;  women: embellished hats) dancers will vie for prizes.  A warm and dry night is currently forecast.

A HAWAIIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, July 31, 2025, with DJ Bing Villafuerte, on a mild and dry night.  There were just over 60 in attendance, thanks in part to 3 first-timers, and several dancers who hadn't been to our Thursday night dances in years, for example about 6 from San Diego Forever Lions and about 6 from the Bay Terrace Fil-Am Senior Association.  Here are 6 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most all were copied from Facebooks:
