BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY at Eastlake Thursday September 26, 2024

Hello Dancers, 

  You are invited to a BALLROOM & LINE DANCE PARTY this coming Thursday September 26, 2024, at Eastlake Shores, 2050 Lakeshore Drive, Chula Vista, with the incredible DJ Bing Villafuerte.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, food, and beverages.  It's a "private party" and this is your invitation.  Dancers are welcome to bring a dish of food to share. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 10pm.  A mild and dry night is currently forecast.

  DIRECTIONS: Take H Street east to Eastlake Drive.  Go right one block, then turn right onto Lakeshore Drive. Then, turn left immediately into the parking lot of 2050 Lakeshore Drive.  The Eastlake Shores Clubhouse is behind the gated fence.

AN ARABIAN NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Eastlake this past Thursday, September 19, 2024, with DJ Nickie Bascos, on a mild and dry night.  There were almost 60 in attendance.  Here are 9 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party; almost all were copied from Facebook posts:

 BEFORE EATING, dancers posed for the group photo above. Nedy gave a blessing for the food, and thankfulness for bringing us all together.

 

 

 

 LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm until almost 7:30 and off & on until 10pm.  In the photo above, Eva and visiting first-timer Ofie were in the front line.

 "THE FRIENDS" posed after performing a dance specially choreographed by Angie called "Yalla Habibi" ("Come On, My Love",  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8oD8D6okKI ).  Sheila, Rei, Beth, Connie, Angie, Nedy, Eden, Josie and Karina posed.

 

 

 "THE EASTLAKE DANCERS" performed "Arabic Shake" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l--7Tt6ovv8 ), on Arabian Night at Eastlake. Roland was in front, and Valerie and Lolit were in the next row.

 

 

 BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Ofie and Francis, who are visiting from Australia, enjoyed dancing a tango.  They showed us that the Filipino dance community in Australia is very good.

 

 

 

 WINNING COUPLES in Arabian Night attire posed for the photo above.  They were Jhosie & Edwin, Roland & Irish, Pete & Aida, Merely & Willie, DJ Nickie & Aurea, and Dwayne & Eva.  Josie was a prize donor, and she handed out prizes.

 

 

 

WINNING SINGLES in Arabian Night attire posed for the photo above, well at least many of them.  In this photo we see Nedy, Lolit, Melba, Myrna, Lou, Beth, Eden, Estrelle, Elaine and Angie.  Other winners who were obscured from photographers by interlopers were Ester, Valerie, Liz, Loida, Linda, Connie, Annie, Nora, Merly, Josie, Karina, Sheila, Janet, Ofie, Merely, May, Sue, Vangie, and Mary Jane.

 It's a fun dance party most Thursday nights with line dances and ballroom dances like swing, cha cha, night club 2-step, cumbia, rumba and much much more.

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun ballroom and line dance parties.  This is Thursday night ballroom and line dancing in San Diego. This is the best Thursday night dance in San Diego, with many types of dance. While the dancing and music are non-stop, there are dancers who are happy to give free dance one-on-one lessons during the dances, in case you don't know the steps of a particular dance.
