VALENTINES DANCE PARTY AT POINT POINT JOINT (FEBRUARY 11, 2016):
LINE DANCING was non-stop from 6pm to 7pm, including "TAKE ME AWAY" above, with Patty, Edith, Nora and Elsie in the front line.

PRIZE WINNERS. Nene and Jake, Marilyn and Romy, Elma and Neriza won best Valentines attire prizes. Dwayne, Edith, Eva and Nina were in the awarding committee.
CABALLERO continues to be a popular line dance. Above, Eva, Edith, Rima and Nora are in the center of this photo as they danced to "Caballero".
TANGO. DJ Mel was busy on the dance floor, above dancing "Blue Tango" with Elma.
NEON MOON. I got to dance with Estrelle for the couples-go-round dance "Neon Moon".
LADIES & ROSES. Many ladies stayed after closing time, even with tables being moved back onto the dance floor. And, above they posed for a photo, some with the roses they got.
It's a really fun dance party most every Thursday night at Point Point Joint with line dances and ballroom dances like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more.
Here's the plan for the next few weeks at Point Point:
Thursday Feb. 18, 2016 6-10pm, DJ Bing Villafuerte
Thursday Feb. 25, 2016 6-10pm, DJ Mel Zaragoza
Thursday Mar. 3, 2016 6-10pm, DJ Bing Villafuerte
Thursday Mar. 10, 2016 6-10pm, DJ Mel Zaragoza
Hoping to see you on the dance floor this coming Thursday,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are considered private parties, and this is your invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego. While the dancing is continuous at these dances, in case you do not know the easy steps used for a particular dance, ask me & I'll get someone to give you a free dance lesson while the music plays. Hmmm - I bet the simultaneous instructions while others dance make these, for example, the best rumba lessons in San Diego.

This is your invitation to a great dance party this coming Thursday night Jan. 14, 2016, at Point Point Joint, 916 E. 8th Street, National City. $8 to enter, and buffet line food from $5. Non-stop line dancing from 6pm - 7pm, and mixed ballroom (swing, cha cha, rumba, salsa, etc., etc.), plus line dancing from 7pm - 10pm. The weather looks good this week, and the dance will be fabulous.
Last week, DJ Mel Zaragoza entertained over joyous 30 dancers, including three 1st-timers, for our 1st dance party of 2016 at Point Point Joint. The nine photos below tell part of the story.
(Note: If the following photos do not appear when you look at this email, click the words at the top of this email that say something like "Show images which are still blocked to protect your privacy" - I already know who you are):
LAST THURSDAY NIGHT AT POINT POINT JOINT (JANUARY 7, 2016):
RUMBA DANCE. Yes, we guys preferred the ballroom dances. Above, Elsie and Ping danced to the pretty rumba, "Esta Noche".
LINE DANCING was in abundance, like "Beguine Per Sognare" above, with Edith R and Elsie in the front line.
NIGHT CLUB 2-STEP dances were popular, like "I Cross My Heart" danced above by Lito and Neriza.
PICTURE-TAKING. Nedy, in the photo above, was a prolific picture-taker.
TANGO WITH THE DJ. DJ Mel was busy dancing all night. Above he danced a tango with Elma.
FIRST-TIMER BING (not DJ Bing, but the dancer above in black boots) danced the bachata "Calma - No Me Entendio" with DJ Mel.
"MOJO MAMBO" line dance has been around a few years. Above, Edith, Nina and Suzanne were in the front line dancing it.
BERT ALOTA, Master of The Dip, danced a rumba with Suzanne.
WHOSE SHOES ?? Some nice glittering dance shoes graced the Point Point dance floor. Can you tell who is wearing them? Don't peek now, but the answers are at the bottom of this email.
Hoping to see you on the dance floor this coming Thursday,
Bert & Edith

P.S. Other Notes: (1) These are really fun parties of line dancing and ballroom dancing like swing including Manila Swing (also known as 4-count hustle or Philippine swing or Filipino swing), cha cha, night club 2-step, tango and much much more. This is Thursday night dancing in San Diego - they are considered private parties, and this is your invitation to members of the email group to enjoy dancing in Point Point Joint Restaurant, 916 E. 8th Street, National City, a mere four miles from downtown San Diego, on Thursday January 14, 2016. While the dancing is continuous at these dances, in case you do not know the easy steps used for a particular dance, ask me & I'll get someone to give you a free dance lesson while the music plays.
(2) You can click on Links to many YouTube MUSIC VIDEOS and other websites that are mentioned in this email (the links are colored like this one of "Beguine Per Sognare"). And, see websites like: this email group's Home Page and Upcoming Events.
(3) Answer to "Whose Shoes ?": Left to right, Edith D, Neriza, Eden and Elsie.
