Plaza Blvd., National City 91950 ( https://lolahappybistro.com/ ), with the great DJ Bing Villafuerte.  There'll be lots of dancing, fun, and food and beverages off the menu (don't bring any food or beverages - you are urged to buy a dinner, even if you just take it home).  Cake and ice cream.  Roses for birthday ladies. Balloons. DJ Bing will play for line dancing 6pm-7pm, and mixed ballroom & line dances until 9:30pm.  A cool and dry night is currently forecast. 

  DIRECTIONS:  Lola Happy Bistro, 3421 E. Plaza Blvd., National City 91950, is almost a mile east of the 805-Plaza Blvd exit, at the signal-lighted intersection of Plaza Blvd and Manchester Street. We will be in the restaurant with a few regular customers.

A COWBOY & WESTERN NIGHT DANCE PARTY was at Lola Happy Bistro on this past Thursday night, November 20, 2025, with DJ Nickie Bascos.  Braving a cool & light rainy night, there were over 60 in attendance, thanks in part to 6 first-timers, and birthday celebrants.  Here are 7 photos from last Thursday's Dance Party, most were copied from Facebooks (see Ric & Connie's Facebook for more complete photos ( https://www.facebook.com/connie.b.bautista )). 

 

  GROUP PHOTO.  Dancers posed for the photo above early in the evening, most in Cowboy & Western attire. 

 

 

  BALLROOM DANCING was abundant. In the photo above, Jannette and Robert danced what appears to be a swing dance, in their Cowboy & Western attire. 

 

 

  LINE DANCING was a favorite.  In the photo above, Roland's Inspiring Dancers, in Cowboy & Western attire, performed "I'VE GOT MEXICO" line dance ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5Xc6VpJMRo ).  In the front line more or less, were Eva, Roland and Remy.  Behind them were Merely and Irish (hidden).

 

 

  "THE FRIENDS" PERFORMED.  In the photo above "The Friends", in Cowboy & Western attire, danced a "Boot Scootin' Boogie" ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d05tQrhNMkA ) line dance choreographed by Angie.  In the front line were Connie and Josie.  Behind them were Sheila and Angie and Belen.  And, behind them were Beth and Rei.

 

 

  UPCOMING THURSDAY NIGHTS signs for Thursday nights at Lola Happy Bistro were held by "Ring Girls" Fe, Emma, Angie and Belen, all in cowgirl & western attire, in the photo above.

 

 

  WINNING COUPLES (most of the winners) in Cowboy & Western Night attire posed for the photo above.  They were Mark & Rei, Roland & Irish, Nora & Joe, Aurea & DJ Nickie, Janet & DJ Bing, and John & Fe.  Other winning couples not in this photo were Ver & Ditas, Chris & Remy, Ric & Connie, Willy & Merely, and Joel & Rima.  Along with Edith, Josie and Rei were prize donors and handed out prizes.

 

 

 WINNING SINGLES (most of the winners) in Cowboy & Western Night attire posed for the photo above.  In this photo we see Robert, Lumi, Annie, Estrelle, Grace, Gemma, Emma, Edna, Pat, Marylou, Luz and first-timer Rome.  Jannette, Jhosie, Eva, Belen, first-timer Gody, Beth, Sheila, Angie, Minda, Frank and Alice were also winners but were not in the photo above of winners.
